Learn To Play Kingdom Death: Monster!
December 4, 2012 by brennon
The Kingdom Death: Monster Kickstarter is in full swing and they have been progressing in leaps and bounds with over $400,000 pledged so far. Now, to entice you even more they have released a gameplay introduction video which you can see above...
This fantastic looking co-operative game for one to six players draws on all the deadly foes Kingdom Death can muster and pits them against your band of survivors trying to make their way in a world filled with darkness.
Plenty of beautiful components make up this game, from the amazing artwork on the cards to the impossibly sublime sculpts you can see in the picture above.
This is also only part one, look out for part two soon!
Check out the video above and let us know what you think of Kingdom Death!

Shaping up quite nicely, looks like a lot of fun! 🙂
And those minis are absolutely sublime, silly boob monsters or not!
seems interesting. I know KS gets you lots of freebies, but since we know already its going to go ahead, I think I will wait for the retail, shipping costs and royal mail fees aren’t pretty.
Heya Demyse, Right now I am focused soley on making the best expeirence I can and I won’t even be looking at retail options until late next year, I am unsure if the game will go regular “distribution”. I may instead just be working with a few key partners to ensure that the quality and presentation of the game is always at the highest level. Also, I want to apologize about the shipping costs. I have started talks with potential partners to work out a solution that is more ideal then me paying USPS a huge sum for making sure… Read more »
Alas, the postal fees don’t make me a fan as well…
If you could do something about it, it would be great.
And if you could perhaps create more types of pledges for the collectors who want to get some resin figures, including the monsters, without the rest… But you do what you want and what you must, of course.
There is an optional resin list on the home page of the site, right now its just a text list only. For pure resin collectors you can simply pledge and not even select a reward. Them in the post campaign pledge manager you’ll confirm your choices. I knows its… not the best process in the world, but kickstarter is not sophisticated enough to handle all these options.
That’s very true, and you’re absolutely right…
I’ll go and pledge, then !
Nice tattoo, by the way.
I cant wait to get some of those monsters on the painting table. Something that nice will make me go all out with all stuff I’ve learned through Romain.
That video just made me a backer. SWEET.
The most exquisite miniatures out there are getting a most awesome game to play them with. I kicked in and now I can’t wait to get them on my table. THIS is gonna be the biggest event in tabletop gaming in 2013!
Looks good, I like games that offer a lot of narrative detail and a card system is great at doing that, though I was kind of expecting a more dungeon crawler feel to it. Still it looks great and I like how there’s a Madness system, but I’ll have to wait for the retail version…in the meantime I have a Wet Nurse to finish painting and therapy sessions to book afterwards 🙂
Also that Monster at the end looks incredible…looking forward to this one a lot.
I looooove dungeon crawlers! So much in fact that I took this into a slightly different direction.
Very cool kickstarter.
I like the card based game system – good depth, looks fun and flavoursome – plus who doesn’t like the quality of KD sculpts?
A high postage can be the bane of worldwide marketing, but I like many others have bit the bullet and pledged. Just too interesting to miss really. 🙂
International postage is high, but Adam has said that he will look into ways of reducing later on. He has already been able to reduce the Canadian postage. Also, the Manhunter game expansion is free to backers of $300+ and that value includes the international postage, so its a nice little extra for us international backers.
i need this game in my life…

should totally have a Dragon slayer-esque sword as an homage to Guts.
I agree!
If the board is big enough could the players just run away from said monster until it runs out of cards? It be like the monster has a heart attack lol 😀
The cards are re-shuffled until you damage a limb or whatever from what I’ve read.
