On the Lamb Ask Are You a Man or a Mouse?
February 14, 2012 by dracs
On the Lamb have announced that the rules for Historia Rodentia, the Brushfire RPG from Mongoose Publishing is now available to pre-order.
This game looks to have a wide variety of anthropomorphic animals to play as. Will you be a scuttling gecko? Or a bulky badger? It will be interesting to see the Brushfire world from the more personal perspective of an RPG.
Any of you think you might like to play this? Do any of you already play Brushfire and think this might be a good way to branch out?

I’m looking forward to this. I’ll try out a rabbit.
In terms of storrytelling I find animals far better archetypes than the usual RPG classes. Aesop used animals to illustrate the human nature in his fables and perhaps animal PCs might help to bring people to the game, who’d otherwise have a hard time fitting into one of the classical RPG cliches.
Had I found this earlier, I wouldn’t even bother with Aesop.

Turtle tank. Enough said.
I wonder how this one compares to Iron Claw.
