Kings of War Week: Kingdoms of Men Faction Breakdown
October 30, 2013 by warzan
The guys get their teeth sunk into the Kingdoms of Men faction for Kings of War. From the looks of things, this will be the faction to let you bring whatever you want to the table in terms of alternate minis and such.

got to go for a knights templer army using fireforge minis
Aha! This is the one I’ve been waiting for.
That is incredibly awesome and well just honest and friendly of Mantic. Just to completely admit that there is such diversity that they just can’t even begin to offer, and there are great miniatures out there for those options. Now that is how you go about trying to help grow the hobby as a whole.
The bulk of my force came from Renedra plastics; War Of The Roses.
Neat idea to have that flexibility in there.
Historic, more or less, would probably work best.
Some Greek Hoplites, with or without greek mythology monsters added in.
Or, if you have some Braveheart Ogres, add a few more Clansmen. Finding a suitable Mel Gibson miniature with kilt and mullet is gonna by tricky though.
I’m thinking human/ogre pirate army.
an army with a little something for everyone
I honestly am having a hard time figuring out what I would do for this one. If all else I could do evil humans that work with Abyssal Dwarfs but the Samurai, Norse, and mercs. sound really awsome as well. This is a tough one for me.
Just pick whichever one appeals to you the most.
If you are making a Samurai list I have already started mine and can help give you ideas.
Thanks, but more or less this one (kingdoms of men) would be down the pipeline a far ways. After Abyssal Dwarfs. Been really looking forward to those guys first.
No problem. The Abyssal Dwarfs look good.
I haven’t got far with my KOM yet.
At building stage.

I love the idea that you can use any Human mini to create this army.
There are tears verging on my eyes right now – the concept of this is so beautiful… The Hail Ceasar! line from warlord games… Roman Legions VS Orc Hordes…Dacian Riders against Ogre Onslaught… Spartans against waves of Undead…
AMAZING!!
Currently making a Samurai army for KIngs of War. Also got some elves and undead I need to work on.
I am currently working on a Samurai Army. I have used my Romans with Ogre support as well. Another idea would be to build for the forces of neutrality and use lots of war beasts and Druids.
I am thinking a combo North, South, and Central Native American Armies. From South/Central America you have Aztec foot soldiers with obsidian blades, maybe flying snake cavalry. From North America archers, spear-men, and light horse cavalry. I need to look at the rules but find a way to incorporate a Windigo or wearwolf/bear heavy unit. They would definitely be allied with the forces of nature.
The range of possible ideas here is endless. Having humans as neutral is a really nice mechanic.
Flexibility and Creativity for the Win !
Looks good.
I also have a pile of Wargames Factory Samurai with the aim to doing a human army.
But i have just ordered my self a Basilean army deal from mantic.
I do love the Men…. uh yeah I mean the faction 😛
You could always go for a classic and have Roman centurians!
This is why Mantic are the people’s company.
I wonder how this is going to play out on the field.
I would have to go with a Band of the Hawk for one idea, tying into the mercenary band idea. can do straight kingdoms of men for golden age and then ally with ogres and abyssals for after the fall.
Great to see that other people’ figures could be used for the kingdoms of man. The variety is endless. Well done Mantic! Another use for some of those medieval figures.
So many opportunities with a Kingdoms of Men Army!!!
Human Abyssals, lead by religious leaders similar to the Priors from Stargate SG1. Blessed are the Abyssals!
