Kings of War Week: Forces Of The Abyss
November 1, 2013 by warzan
Now to uncover more about one of the final factions for Kings of War. We've saved probably the best for last as the guys get a look at the forces of evil in Mantica as they delve into the Abyss.
The Wicked Ones are stirring and preparing to wage a fresh campaign on the world. Will you be joining their ranks as one of their dark generals or combating them under the banner of good.

These Abyss guys are rather sweet.
Another interesting army list from Mantic. The more I see of Kings of war and the variety it allows the more I like it. Armies can be very easily personalsed and given their own back story.
This is my thought exactly – total freedom to build as you like to create themes and interesting stories!
speaking of carving out a piece of this world for myself, brings me to the question. Are there rules for creating your own race in the game? I would love to be able to once again use my Lizard-men. (GW prices have moved there games out of my reach.)
At the moment wolflord68 there are a number of fan lists floating about – I like this one: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?318570-Lizardman-list
The alternative is use their Nature list in the Basilean book it has elementals which could easily represent Kroxigor, skinks = gnomes, salamanders etc.
thanks minitrol. 🙂
For an official list, the Orc list makes a fairly good “counts-as”, especially if allied with goblins to count as skinks.
Lots of ideas in this video. I’m now very Happy to know that I can do a lot of combining of different armies. I have a few ideas for which I can use some Reaper demons for Abyssals. Gonna have a lot of fun with this.
Rise, my zombie giant…Rise! Mmmwahahahaaa!
Here’s some fitting music while playing the Forces Of The Abyss.

Abyssals are so alluring in that forbidden demonic way.
I think it’s awesome that Matic let’s you basically do what you want with there army’s, instead of trying to make you buy all of their models
I think James broke Warren’s brain with the steampunk idea! The more I watch the more i want to make an army!
Thanks for another great themed week
like the fact that the abyss was caused by a fallen god axe cleaving the earth in twain
Everything but nice talking, why don’t you give us a Little sneak peak of the illustrations.
I’m whiting for the next video and pleas show some abyssal minions.
the Abyssals are a brand new list so there’s no models out yet… I’m thinking of making an army using the old Confrontation Scorpion plastic prepaints…
its been a great week guys, and still at least a couple more vids to come
I love the flexibility this system an more an more i want to make this my fantasy war game.
Looking forward to seeing the models for these. Want to see what aesthetic they go for.
Can’t go wrong with a bit of evil.
Or a little bit more evil 😉
I’d love to ally these guys with Undead or Abyssal Dwarves!
A worthy foe for my future army!
That’s been a good week
As long as it was clear a distinctive paint scheme on undead models could easily represent the Abyss.
Awesome, another example of cool design.
I really want to see the abyss models when they are made. It there an ETA for them?
Sign me up! So awesome!
Man, I am doing that hand thing that Warren does when he gets excited. 😛
Hmmm – the jury’s out on this one until I’ve seen the book and the models…
