November 30, 2012 by brennon
If you're looking to spend a little bit of your hard earned cash with Kingdom Death then how about their Monster Kickstarter? Check out the image of this first game from them below as well as a bit more information...
The set contains...
- 27 ( + 12 ) = 39 Total, unique highly detailed plastic miniatures ( following this is a quick list of the miniature break down )
- Full Color Story & Rule Book
- 2' x 3' Game board
- 6, 10 Sided Dice
- 1 6 Sided Hit Location Die
- 100 2"x2" Gear Cards
- 75+ Monster AI Cards
- 75+ Monster Hit Location Cards
- 75+ Resource Cards
- 25 Innovation Cards
- 10 Location Tiles
- Survivor Record Sheets
- Settlement Record Sheets
The game itself focuses on one to six players trying to bring their settlement out of the darkness and into the light by fending off monsters and more, hoping to survive!
There are of course a mass of different stretch goals and the game has easily smashed its original target. If you have even a small interest in Kingdom Death I would go and check this out!
What do you think of this Kickstarter?

Was wondering when this would be posted 😛 It’s going really well so far; can’t wait to see where it ends up 🙂
Adam’s also running it really well 🙂
Love the fact that it’s a co-op, nice for a change, not that I don’t love bashing my friends in diffrent wargames…but you know :3
I got in on the $129 survivor black friday deal but I’m still in two minds as whether I’ll actually go through with it as the delivery and VAT is going to be painful for future me a year from now ¬_¬
Also some of the updates like the extra phoenix and t-shirt don’t interest me either but hey, this is me being picky.
Otherwise the figures are absolutely gorgeous and the game is very intriguing too!
It is funny to see the strech goals! They let you buy miniatures…ehm… at the ussual price…
Where are kickstarters going to? You pay in advance (a year?), no credit cost to the company, no distributor, no shop…that is good business!
Well, there is nothing saying KS’ have to be at a discount price, and in this case, whilst yes, Adam will be making a profit on it, he can’t offer the resins much cheaper because the price doesn’t vary through economies of scale …
/Backed.
I backed it and will enjoy painting everything once it arrives.
Looking at the models they look rather well made and have a cool feel to them. The only set back I see is that they may end up getting much more than they planned. You may be asking how is that bad? If they need to make so much they may end up taking longer than planned, yes even over the year deadline. Besides that this is one of the best model per model quality I seen in some time.
For a little bit more info from Adam Poots himself you might want to read this in-depth interview I did with him:

Shameless plug I know but it does have some more info for you all. 🙂
Great interview, you must have spent a while on those questions because you managed to coax a fair bit out of him and covered a some decent topics, thanks! 🙂
Thanks, it did take some time, but Adam is a pretty honest and straight up guy. There were some question we left out, but that’s because they added nothing really, but he never once said “nope, I’m not answering that question”. He was more than willing to tackle any question I threw at him.
