Kabuki Models Preview their Statuesque Octavia
March 22, 2012 by brennon
Kabuki Models are going back to the Big Sisters range with this new model to be released in April. Check out the lovely Octavia below and see what you think...
She stands at 54mm and would be a great painting project for the budding artists. Plenty of detail to paint and plain cloth on the cape to go mad with your freehand skills.
Will you be picking her up on release?
Pity she is the wrong scale
could make for a great statue for 30mm terrain
Statues aren’t a set size…they’re just any suitable model painted grey/copper with drybrushing and verdigris work. Think Colossus of Rhodes, only not colossal. Or necessarily in Rhodes. 😉
@brennon – She’s a lovely model but not so much “plenty of detail to paint” as “plenty of flesh to practice realistic skin on” really…she reminds me of this:

🙂
She is too large to be used with the rest of my miniatures which are 28-32mm, but could be a statue in the terrain.
I am fully aware of the scale of public art 😉
Interwebz Brevity Confusion strikes again…I getcha now… 🙂
She is looking great.
Thats a nice model.
