Over on the Kickstarter for Journey: Wrath of Demons a special treat appeared for Halloween, a Chinese zombie known as the Jiangshi.

Jiangshi

The Jiangshi is another favourite of mine from Chinese folklore. Equivalent to the Western stories of Vampires, the Jiangshi is an undead corpse.

Here's the bizarre bit; the Jiangshi is so stiff from rigor mortis that it cannot bend its limbs at all, so its arms are always held out straight in front like the traditional image of a zombie and it makes its way around by hopping!

Jiangshi and Coffin

This pretty awesome miniature of the classic Chinese monster is now available as a pledge add on over at the Kickstarter, so if any of you have an interest in Asian folklore be sure to check out Journey: Wrath of Demons.
