Ex Illis Release William Wallace
May 23, 2011 by beerogre
Now here's a name I haven't heard for a while. Ex Illis have launched their first new release since their unfortunate news... and it's a cracker... William Wallace!
Could this signal the resurgence of Ex Illis?
What do you guys think?

They’ll never take our Freedom!!
More manufacturers is more choice, which is only good for us.
Nice mini, quite apt for the whole industry right now.
Huh, he looks nothing like Mel Gibson.
This is good.
Good model, too. Nice to see them making good product again.
could look more Scottish

It’s good to see Ex-Illis rise again somewhat… And this mini looks really good !

awesome
Could someone explain what the story is here? I thought the system died?
Yeah, I’m confused. Last I heard the company was bought by one of it’s investors, and they were doing some soul searching.
Allow to help explain it as best as I can becouse I go over to their forums. From what I understand they were able to get another investor and were able to get back on track. They had to move shop, but when they moved they lost a few of the servers and it took the movers about two months for them to get the servers back. Now they are just trying to get some programs loaded for there new characters and units they want to release.
Thats at least what I got from reading there posts.
I personally would have preferred him to look like Mel Gibson, especially since he was the one who brought everyone’s attention to the legend.
Have a feeling that Mel Gibson’s take on William Wallace is less historically accurate than the Ex Illis model! lol
The model looks good to me, but I can’t help wishing the left hand was rotated palm down as per the artwork.
Only a minor quibble though and prolly easily sorted.
Although am not sure Sir Geoffery de Boycott would approve of his position for the cover drive. He needs more practice in the nets lol
your feelings are right
The only things they got right in the movie was his wife was killed by english solders ( but not for the same reason) he fought the english (but not how they did it in the movie) and was killed by the english (funny they got how it was done right)
Great looking mini. Wish they would finally release a paper set of rules so I could play it…
That was suggested on the forums, and as a Ex illis community we put that down hard for the most part, and opened up a hole can of worms, Ex illis’s main selling point is that it removes the paper rules, all that hassle. Dnt forget to head over to the Ex illis section on the BOW Forums. Also Expect two more Releases of demons, and Lucifer. I am bows Local Ex illis nerd and one of the Few people in the Uk that play the game =) if you are interested in trying it out go to the Ex… Read more »
