Hell Dorado & Kingdom Death Crossover Model Previewed!
September 26, 2013 by brennon
The folks from Cipher Studios behind Hell Dorado have shown off their crossover model that was created in conjunction with Kingdom Death. See what you think of this Twilight Knight...
As you can see she has the look of a Kingdom Death warrior but she has been crossed with the usual style that we've seen from Hell Dorado. I love that they seem to have meshed the two styles together and created something awesome here.
A few people have commented on the sword and it looking odd but I think it's an awesome weapon. I can't wait to see this model painted as it's going to be a total gem I reckon.
Do you think this crossover works well?

backed the “wrath of kings” kickstarter and will be investing in the twilight knight crossover from that. hopefully she’s a little different to this one otherwise i’ll feel a tiny bit cheated. only a tiny bit mind you 😉
Yeah, having checked out the details for this Hell Dorado game and some of the art work too I can clearly see what the critics of this mini are going on about. Few miniatures accurately replicate the original art work that inspired them to a perfect degree, but I think this case is a particularly strong example of a model not looking like its “drawing board” version, for want of a better phrase. If I were the creators of this mini I would go back to that drawing board and try again.
The sword looks a touch to big… But it’s not bad by any stretch. I realize it’s a part of the models theme but seeing her always so sad makes just want to give her a hug.
The breasts of course are totally ridiculous but then she was probably sculpted by a man and we menfolk have a tendency towards idealising the shape of imaginary women. You’ve only got to look at comic book females to realise that. And yeah, she looks a little moody but at least she’s not grinning from ear to ear or trying to look seductive: (good luck to any sculptor with creating that look on a mini’s face!)
