Hasslefree Miniatures Finish Boudi For Diceni In April
February 14, 2013 by brennon
You might remember that a little while back Hasslefree were making a miniature for the Diceni event coming in April. Well here is the finished model below alongside the concept art. See what you think...
It's pretty damn close to the original artwork that's for sure. Should be a fun painting project for someone going to the event and could be a fun role-playing heroine if you were looking for a use for her.
Obviously if you'd like to get a hold of her you'll have to head to Diceni in Norwich, which is still a fair way off so you have time to prepare.
What do you think of Boudi?
Nice sculpt indeed. Would like to see it painted.
If I were to buy this, I would probably replace the spear as it appears a bit thick and the the stabby stabby bit is a bit to big for my tastes. I like the concept arts proportions for the spear. So would replace it with brass rod and a bit of work in all honesty. I may even touch up her legs a bit, but what I do in private is none of your business, hehe (only joking, she has fine legs).
Thats a good take on the concept art. The only small issue I have is the face. I take it it must be hard to capture the emotion that the art work shows as it looks as if she is a bit sly and sassy. the sculpt looks to have just missed that feel, but still is a well made model. I’d get it if I was going that convention.
I have to agree with you @Manpug, everything else is great though.
It’s a nice face, it just don’t have that “come hither ” look to it.
Although painting the eyebrows right and adding a little up turn to the red on the lips might fix some of that.
That sculpt has turned out very nice indeed.
Face kind of looks like a can of smashed arseholes, so it’s a good thing she’s not showing too much skin.
The miniature is available from Hasslefree miniatures not from the event Diceni
