Darrell checks out some really cool looking Goblin Archers from Heresy Miniatures, but what do you guys think? Will these little green Robin Hoods be making there way to your gaming table?
They look well and suitably gobliny. Like them a lot but already have more gobbos than I can shake a paintbrush at!
Being from Heresy they may even be accompanied by a lollipop! lol
£40 for 16 to too expensive for a gamer methinks. But certainly worth the cash for a collector or painter.
It’s not that bad, only £2.50 a model, which is decent for metal minis.
You could always offset it by ordering 50 Orc Archers from EM4 for £7.70 to pad out the unit:

They look nice but not so nice, that they are worthy £40 for 16 minis.
Not picked up any of the goblins yet but I do have some other Heresy stuff and 2 dragons on order. Have always had good customer service from them and as has already been mentioned there’s always the chance of some sweets in your order.
Call us next Christmas when you get those dragons :p
It’s been a while but shouldn’t be to much longer. Both are in the first 45. Looking forward to finally getting them.
cheers, i just choked on my coffee x)
Sorry about that.
Heresy miniatures are strangely priced… The individual models are all quite reasonable, especially for metal, less expensive than PP or GW. However, the price doesn’t seem to go down that much when you try and purchase groups and bundles… Quite disappointing if you’re looking for a regiment !
That said, those goblins are very cool, and look better than the GW ones in my opinion. Much more evil and goblinesque.

£2.50 is a standard price for a mental miniature that isn’t garbage. I don’t think it’s reasonable for these small companies to charge less. It’s really just the way life is. £2.50 will buy you maybe 3 KFC Hot Wings or a full Galaxy Chocolate Bar. Up to you to decide on the value of that little metal model … but take into account the work that goes into actually forging it (forging!?) and the cost of its materials etc. I do think someone with a standard job could put aside £40 one month and buy these guys as a… Read more »
These miniatures are well worth the money and really fun to paint. I’m a big fan – I’ve got ten of the little guys. I understand he’s going to bring out ones with hand to hand combat weapons in time as well.
I’ll echo that sentiment.
£2.50 a pop may seem a lot, but like it or not, it’s the going rate for metal miniatures of this size from independents. Heresy is mainly a one-man operation, so every sale counts (be that a Goblin or indeed a Dragon). When you consider the costs involved in producing a miniature – the sculpting, the mould making, casting, packing and shipping – £2.50 ain’t an awful lot of lucre to part with for a luxury item. As for the figures themselves, they’re probably some of the nicest Goblins on the market, menacing, with oodles of character, and in no… Read more »
