Freebooter’s Fate Hoist the Colours
February 16, 2012 by dracs
Hey guys I just thought I'd show you these new images which have gone up on the Freebooter's Fate site of some of their latest minis painted up.
I think these colourful paint jobs add a real sense of character to the minis. I particularly like the mace wielding noble lady.
what do you think of these? Is there anything which you yourself might have done differently? What colour schemes would you have chosen?

As always stunning minis, but personally I would have bone less bold for all the colours other than the Jester
I am liking those a lot.
That jester is an absolutely awesome paint job. Rasmus I’d agree with you to a point on the colours, but a lot of Freebooter’s Miniatures seem to get ignored, wrongly I believe, because of their subtle and desaturated paint jobs. I’m with you I’m a huge fan of the range so much so I’m in the middle of reviewing it all on my Blog. Here is a page full of my Freebooter’s Fate articles:

Yup I like the colours and tones they generally use.
Great range of figures imho and still waiting to play the game which looks good
I thought ladies carried mace in their handbags and it was a spray
@chibi you have some of the funniest one liners on this site 🙂
Grand stuff. Freebooter stuff is always so tempting because of the fabulous paint jobs. Personally I like the muted tones style on the miniatures, sets them apart.
As am I, but having people tell me the miniatures don’t stand out or wow them led me to actually digging deeper with people. While I appreciated the natural shades and tones it seems to me that many people have been programmed to like overly saturated paint jobs and garish colour scheme’s. I don’t think any of the pictures up there could be accused of being garish, but the addition of a splash of vibrant colour certainly makes people take notice doesn’t it? Good job if you ask me.
You can lead a donkey to pasture but you can’t make him admire the view?
