Awesome 🙂 id totally let the amazons snu snu me to death.
A little S&M for you @jackofspades 😉
Question is, would you do good snu snu?
I think some kind of natives are sorely missing from Cutlass. I know it would be hard to incorporate them into the campaign system thematically (buying swords and flintlocks), but still … as it were, some demo of the FF would still be welcome! 🙂
Cool
Something to look forward to and get my grubby mitts on next year
These gals look good to me!
Pretty cool figures, I can think of other uses for them. Escher gangers maybe?
thats some funky lookin’ foliage in the first shot
Hippy chick Amazonians ftw 🙂
I’m not commercially growing hemp in my bedroom officer, honest!
It’s my Freebooters Fate terrain!
I like the look of these.
Models look awesome! Waiting for the Amazon Starter set! 🙂
Werner Klocke sure knows how to sculpt women. 🙂 I have a few miniatures from Freebooter’s Fate which I got for a recent Mordheim campaign. I must say that the miniatures are absolutely stunning. The casting quality is one of the best I’ve seen in metal miniatures and sculpts themselves ooze character. I don’t think there is one miniature in Freebooter’s Fate that I don’t like. So I’m really looking forward to the coming Amazons. I’m also intriqued by the game as the diceless mechanism seems really fun to play and the production values of book seem to be really… Read more »
Hi! I have both Cutlass! and Freebooter’s Fate (I’m a rules Magpie). FF’s diceless system is interesting, simple and relies a lot on out thinking your opponent. The Fate cards are basically hit locations (Arm, Head, etc). Basic combat is I chose a number of fate cards equal to my attacks, you choose a number equal to your defense. This is done in secret and revealed at the same time. If your defense card is the same as my attack card they cancel each other, any attack cards not countered are hits. There are modifiers and such but that’s the… Read more »
Thanks! That sorted out things quite a lot 🙂
I’m also hoping a Freebooter’s Fate week or at least a mini featurette.
Was a toss up between the two for me as well
I chose Freebooters in the end due to the quality of the sculpts and for the diceless system as it is so different from other games.
Not that Cultlass has any negative points from what I can see.
We are spoiled for choice these days
So if I were to buy the rulebook, the fate card deck and two opposing faction starters, would you say that I’d be set for some decent games for two players?
The rule book recommends a 250 dubloon (points) game for introduction Going up to 500 for a more involved and presumably standard game 750 for complex I have the pirate starter which is 285 and Brotherhood is 355 TBH I got the Freebooters quicker than planned as I took the opportunity to collect the various bits and pieces a bit cheaper while I could save a few quid! But haven’t got around to putting it altogether and playing yet. Once I have the figures painted will start collecting a few more and try to show some restraint. There are some… Read more »
I’ll most likely go for Freebooter’s Fate to begin with as it seems all together different from what I’ve played previously. Having said that, I’m pretty much sold on Cutlass! too. So I’ll be getting at least the rulebook at some point later this year.
