Delve into Celtic Mythology With Castles and Crusades Kickstarter
January 13, 2013 by dracs
Castles and Crusades is stated as being a "rules light fantasy role playing game." Now that game world is seeking to expand with the help of Kickstarter to create the Codex Celtarum.
"The Codex Celtarum delves into the myths of the Celtic peoples, the powers of the world around them, the monsters that hunted them, and the gods that watched over them. Its author, Brian Young, a scholar by trade, introduces the Celtic mythos like never before, exploring the depths of that world to recast it for the fantasy RPG Castles & Crusades. Within the Codex Celtarum lies a wealth of information; gaming material that blows new life into the world of the fey, the druid, the ranger and all characters whose travels carry them through the wooded hills, broken crags and dark forests of our primeval imagings."
Celtic mythology has a rich variety of heroes, creatures and settings to draw inspiration from and this book promises to provide you with a good level of information to draw upon, as well as new rules and spells to use.
Have any of you played Castles and Crusades? Would you be tempted to help fund this on kickstarter?
If you want the book it is a $40 pledge + $42 for postage to the UK.
Looks interesting, but not that interesting.
Have notice grumblings about postage costs for kickstarters on other threads, now I see why.
The updates list a different shipping cost ($20) but that’s still a bit too expensive for me I’m afraid.

I hope you don’t take a critical hit O.O
