Deep in the Jungle Lie Micro Art’s Bases
October 27, 2013 by dracs
Micro Art Studio is beginning to get taken over by the jungle as they have just released a new selection of rectangular jungle bases on their online store.
These bases have a ton of detail and could be just what I need to plant my Lizardmen army firmly in the jungles of Lustria.
However, as is often the case with Micro Art's bases, while they are really nice decorative pieces they have so much going on that they can prove impractical when it comes to actually basing the miniature.
Have any of you ever used Micro Art's bases?

Yup I’ve seen these all painted up, but they are totally unusable. There’s just no contact points for the mini so the result is your figure standing on top of a bunch flowers and plants, not in them.
Supposedly MAS has heard our cries and is working on some revised bases… But who knows if /when that will happen.
I usually just hack out a little spot for the minis to go in. But really these are best as just bits of added scenery on terrain. Paint them up and hide them in the corners.
