A Dark Elf Sorceress Becomes the Latest Avatar of War
May 17, 2012 by brennon
Hot on the heels of our news about the upcoming Lizardman hero we have the release of a Dark Elf Sorceress with incredibly magical potential from Avatars of War.
Plenty of magical flowing hair on this model, as if a great surge of energy has rushed up towards her to be channelled into an almighty spell. Considering she bears the mark of Warthone could this be leading to some interesting regimental sculpts for a Dark Elf army? The world of Saga has certainly laid the ground work for a fantastic set of armies coming out of Avatars of War.
Will you be picking her up as a proxy, or simply just for a chance to paint her up?

The storm-whipped hair is a very impressive effect – I wish the arms were raised more, as if she were launching the spell into the heavens, but this works too. She looks like she’s walking forward purposefully, with a pained expression on her face from barely being able to control this surge of magic. The little flames to make the base more scenic are a flavourful extra too, as though the magic is destroying the ground she walks on. Great sculpt.
That hair gives this sculpt nice touch and makes this one look even more dynamic. Over all thats already looking rather good.
I like this one.
I think this lady needs a relaxer for that hair of hers.
All joking aside, this is a fine model for the dark elves. If I had them as my army I would snatch this up ASAP!
That’ll learn her to go waving her metal staff in the air during a thunderstorm!
Erm… joke anyone?
