Dark Art’s Ogre Chief Lords Over All
May 16, 2012 by dracs
If you have been keeping an eye on our New and Rumours Forum you might have seen this new Ogre Chieftain from Dark Art Studios.
I have to say that I really like this massive chap. I think that the miniature (and the paint job) helps to capture a real sense of arrogant menace which would make this guy the perfect final monster for your adventurers to face in the depths of whatever dungeon they may have found themselves in this time.
What is your opinion on this obese ogre? Think he could reign supreme in your D&D games?
Thanks to Dark Art for bringing this to our attention.
He’s definitely got a look of contempt or boredom on his face and I like the way he’s slumped in his throne like a mound of lard…he could use a bit more ornate jewellery on him as befits a chieftain but he’d make a great Greasus Goldtooth for an Ogre Kingdoms army.
The problem is it looks like he’s one piece and that throne is on a pile of earth while Greasus gets carried everywhere…you could put him on a carriage but then why would the earth be there? It would be a pain to remove cleanly…
I like way that sword looks. It looks old and used. Helmet has nicely long horns that make him look imposing. That stone throne of his is rather well detailed.
Oh dear what can the matter be?
Kingy Ogre’s stuck on the lavatory.
Can’t get off so he doesn’t frighten me.
Looks like he doesn’t really care..
oh God I know someone whos looks like this.
Now i have this little red demon sitting on my left shoulder saying “buy it, paint it you know you want to”
That helmet makes me think of Flavor Flav for some reason.
He’s laid back and surveying his troops, probably thinking about eating. His throne is mounted on rock because he is really, really heavy. Another rock, where he wishes to move to, is being sculpted. When it is ready, he will perhaps decide to move there. He may not move.
He may stay wherever he likes because he is Peter Griffin. He is the Boss.
What a fat lard.
