The Cult Sign Up for Plunder and Pillaging with Freebooter

Hot on the heels of the IndieGoGo Campaign launch is another faction for the world of Freebooter's Fate. The Cult are ready to enact their own dark plans through plunder and pillaging on the high seas!
The Cult bring a whole new mechanic to the world of Freebooter's Fate. Mystical magic and dark arts are now the name of the game, and you can probably imagine that puppet was bought to life by that trickery! Another crew, more superb looking miniatures and plenty more on the horizon. This ship is seriously sailing with the wind right now.
What do you think of the prospect of magic and cultists in Freebooter's Fate?

Will be interesting to see how the magic users fare.
They have some ranged weapons at least, and assume that the magic will in part be stand off.
In my limited game play the Brotherhood got trounced by the Pirates because they couldn’t get close enough. Though that could just be me being rubbish! lol
Regardless I would like some Cultists just because.
The Puppeteer is an absolute must
Your assassins get trounced by pirates? Sorry there could be two reasons for that:
1) Yes sorry you are indeed rubbish
or
2) You weren’t playing on a board with enough scenery
Generally I’ve found the Brotherhood can get it close if played properly and when they get there it is horrible massacre. In close the Brotherhood rock!

We had plenty of buildings and trees, but maybe we needed to break it up even more.
Also to be fair I don’t think we had fully grasped the rules system.
I’ve seen this game played and range seems to be key to winning. You might be better with at least 1 crew with a ranged weapon.
