Conquest Games Have Some Dead Warriors Guarding Their Crypts
March 23, 2013 by brennon
A while back Conquest Games produced the first in their Fantasy line and they were a bit lacklustre to put it bluntly. However this month they have produced some more evil fantasy denizens in their Crypt Guardians.
While they aren't the best looking fantasy miniatures they are better than the demons we saw in February. I like the poses of most of them, apart from the Guardian holding the glaive.
I think these would be good unit filler or even as figures for use in role-playing games as evil denizens your heroes must fight. Steadily the quality seems to be increasing with their fantasy figures so lets see it get even better.
What do you think?
All beginning models from companies look rather simple, even Rackham’s models where some what simple and chunky. As time passed, they set the standard. The same can be said about Infinity now. Who knows where Conquest Games may lead to, only time will tell.
These dont look so good. They really should have just made Undead Normans that fit in with their current plastics.
They are a bit “1980’s” in aesthetics for my taste. Not quite the fine level of detail we have come to expect from the likes of Otherworld and Hasslefree these days, Still a heck of a lot better than anything I could do of course!
They give me a sense of nostalgia for those old lumps of lead that I cut my painting teeth on back in the day. Wouldn’t spend money on them now though.
