Coming Soon, Golem Arcana App To Get An Upgrade
February 1, 2015 by deltagamegirl22
One of the big items at last year's GenCon, Golem Arcana by Harebrained Schemes is getting a big update to their software interface here shortly.
With the new update you can now have epic battles with up to 8 different players! Along with this to help keep track of your army you will also be able to create your own banners.
They will also make it easier to transfer your own armies to different devices even when you don't have a wifi signal and lastly, the application's menu is getting a different design to it will let you access the sections such as army builder and custom game setup from the main page much easier.
It is nice to see the developer continue to make improvements to the game. While some people are still skeptical regarding this style of game play, I think there is room to grow.
What do you think of the miniature gaming with a device?

The game been just like 6 months on the market and already had 2 hard updates adding new useful features etc for FREE. I am really happy with multiplayer, that’s gonna be awesome to bring more people to the table. I love the look of the banner creator as well, it’s nice to have an option to make your army unique, especially that all golems are already painted.
Despite few hickups/bugs it’s a solid game and innovative approach. I do enjoy it.
Looked into the game, demo’ed it two days later….and got it that same day, well worth the money, mini’s look awesome, game is great….I suggest trying the game, I fell for it and love it
I bought a second starter just for multiplayer!
I bought 2 and then I found a kickstarter one on eBay, so I ended up with 3. It quickly became one of my favourites, on par with x-wing, slightly behind Infinity.
Good to see the developer release updates to their app. I demo’d the game at Gencon and was unimpressed with the gimmick. I agree with @deltagamegirl22 when she says there’s room to grow with this type of game. With advances in technology (like the HoloLens), I think tech is definitely here to stay in our games. Making the tech a natural part of the game, complementing it and not there in spite of it, remains the largest challenge for these adventurous developers. While not my cup of tea, it is nice to see people enjoy the title given its evolutionary… Read more »
Well, I think that miniature gaming with a device is not as popular as it was before. That’s why many developers don’t come up with something like that anymore. I’ve always wanted to become a developer myself, and I’ve even checked the articles like angularjs vs nodejs to learn more about web development, but I decided to quit because there are way more decent specialists.
