Center Stage Miniatures Disturbs an Ogres Cave
July 23, 2012 by brennon
Center Stage Miniatures have bought us blobs of goo, Minotaurs, Barbarians and Dwarves but now it's the time of the Ogre. Check out their new and slightly hungry duo below...
Potentially not the best of their sculpts, but pretty old school and worthy dungeon fodder all the same. They could potentially double as Bugbears with all that fur.
I still think their Firbolgs were the best.
What do you make of this latest dungeon dweller?
I’m pretty sure these used to be part of Megamini’s line. Johny Lauck sold off a bunch of molds last year and I’m guessing these were part of that. 70’s stuff, and bad 70’s stuff at that.
Yep, old 70s stuff indeed. While this miniature is not part of our signature line of Advanced Fantasy Miniatures, I have a soft spot for older miniatures and try to acquire the rights to them whenever possible – even the rougher ones!
Our “Fantasy Encounters” range includes miniatures like these ogres, just to keep them in circulation. Certainly not one of the releases I would have pegged for a news group, but a part of our classics range nonetheless. We also have a number of the Metal Magic character miniatures, as well.
