Looks like there’s a Cairn Wraith in the Nerd Bunker!

Adam takes a look at the Cairn Wraith, a vengeful ghost who can be a Vampire Counts hero or part of a unit.
He just looks too muscular around the shoulders for something that is basically an insubstantial skeleton, one that was an academic too, so not likely to be buff. Like the necromancer and the wight king of these though.
There’s discussion about using the mini as a Nightbringer Shard in Epic:Armageddon, which I think is a great idea (mounted on a slightly larger, slimmer base).
I have one and I think it’s brilliant! It probably won’t see the table in my VC army, but will definitely see table time in the Catacombs of Terror… 😉
Its rather nice plastic model.
Picked this up with the Vampire Counts book last week. Really good fig and really hope GW will produce more of this type one model plastics in the future. I’m not sure I’ll actually use this for Warhammer Fantasy, but with little converting this would make a fine Necron model.
I picked one up to replace my old necron lord since they have overlords now and I think this will make a perfect one with a little converting (spare parts from lychguard/praetorian box).
Loving these plastic kits from GW. Look good, assemble well and being plastic easy to deal with. Wish price was a lot cheaper, for £1 Id buy it in an instant, as its a bit pricier these days Ill have a good think about it.
I also have a Nurgle Chaos Lord like this that I was able to convert (somewhat) to be a 40k Nurgle Chaos Lord, which is to say I added a Chaos backpack, a second shoulderpad, and a pistol on his hip. Once the paint is fully done, I’ll take photos and post him on Minirama.
Nice to see another video from you Adam. Good discussion of the pros and cons of the model.
I for one like this direction GW have taken with the single model plastics. Some additional poseability would be nice for the modellers amongst us but I have seen a few of these models unboxed now and I must admit they are tempting. Certainly sidesteps the whole Finecast argument.
Anyway just wanted to finish by saying im looking forward to more vids from you. They are a great addition to the BoW catalogue.
Nice model and a good video of what you like and what you didn’t. Perhaps only thing missing was discussion of it in the game. Finecast does seem ideal for plague marines haha
The more I see of the single plastic models the more I want them, even just to paint.
Only in the US would people use lead shot as mini weights!
