Bushido Gets Serpentine And Swarmed with Rats!
April 30, 2012 by brennon
GCT Studios are showing off some more concept art for the future of Bushido. Check out this twisted Snake-Samurai and lets wonder on what the sculpt will turn out like.
I think I was doing battle in Ancient Japan and saw that guy on the enemy side I would run a mile without thinking. But if I did then I would probably end up being subjected to something like this...
Yes that's right. It's a man getting eaten alive by rats. Lots of rats. This Rat Swarm is certainly key to the image of Bushido as dark fantasy.
How are you liking the evil side of Bushido?

That snake-samurai is looking very good. That rat swarm looks nasty becouse they are eating man alive.
That samurai snakeman is rather cool. Only thing he needs is a better fu manchu moustache. The more I think of it they all need fu manchu staches, even the ladies 😛
I know I just being silly.
I like the forward leaning torso on the samurai, adds a little extra serpentine touch through the human part as well as the coiled tail. The colour choice is good too as it makes the armour and scales blend together, unifying the piece.
That swarm though…that’s pure horror movie. Lots of little bites adding up to rip you apart slowly and painfully. There’s a great potential Skaven unit filler in that sculpt if the scale is right (so if that’s on a 40 or better 50mm base), it’s really evocative.
