Bushido Raise The Banner for Battle
November 26, 2012 by dracs
When it comes to field of battle few things can raise moral like the sight of an army's banner flying high over head. Hence why the Prefecture of Ryu are bringing their banner bearer to Bushido.
This is Fujitaka, another brilliant sculpt for us to look forward to. Although I have to say I think there is something up with his face. Maybe its just the paint job.
Bushido has a really great selection of minis, how do you think this one matches up to the rest of the range?

Nice looking sculpt, there is just something about the face that looks odd compared to the artwork.
Yea, the cheek and jaw structure of his face look unusual.
Probably the huge mouth.
Compared to the rest of the range I’m finding this one a bit lacklustre, not to say that it’s a bad model it just highlights, to me, the quality and imagination that characterize the rest of the Ito range…
It looks a bit odd as if its an older man than the picture depicts him as.
They should have had the face remodelled before committing to casting
As @dais said the cheek is wrong and the chin is all but missing.
The bright white teeth exaggerate the mouth which is too large and doesn’t allow room for the lateral strap that is depicted inn the artwork. This strap pretty much corresponds to where the hat strap is placed on the model.
This means the model doesn’t have a chin. Added to the strange concave line and the cheekbones as @dais pointed out it isn’t up to par with the rest of the line.
apologies for poor editing of my post
