Bushido Extends Evil to the Peasantry
July 2, 2012 by dracs
A new piece of artwork for Bushido has been published showing the latest recruit to be sucked into the darkness of the Cult.
He may be a peasant, but this burakumin is definitely no salt of the earth.
Just goes to show, even in feudal Asia smoking and wearing an eye patch automatically made you a bad ass.
As with all of the previous art work we have seen for Bushido this piece really captures the essential character this figure. You just have to take one look to think up a back story and personality. Hopefully this will transfer over well to the miniature and given the past history of the Bushido minis I don't think we need worry about that.
Do any of you play Bushido? What do you think of the new pieces of artwork we are currently seeing?

And I’ve made another animation for these releases.

I like how you’ve taken static art and managed to turn it into a desperate call to arms, very neat. 🙂
I like that burakumin art too, the all-pervading purplish-grey palette coupled with the casual air and subtly included bloody knife of the man himself really is creepy, like he’s having a soothing stogie after going on a killing spree through a household. There are other disturbing signs in the background…
I guess in this case, smoking kills…the other guy. 😉
Awesome sauce. I’ve just started bushido with Yurei and i’m really liking it.
Oh dear…more shiney for me to acquire
I had a few trial games before I started to paint my starter army and like it. I’am now in the middle of painting and will probably make a board next to play on. I havn’t decided on a theme for the board yet, are there any good terrain making Videos on here?
Only for Backstage users, though I don’t think there’s been any boards with an Oriental flavour made as yet…
It’s hard to believe that this is the seventh wave. It seemed like yesterday the game hit the sean. Looking good as always 🙂
Poor old Sean, what did he ever do to Bushido? 😉
