great selection their guys surprised by some choices thought they’d be a little fiddly for beginners and leaving out the ghost sniper was also a surprise but enjoyed you adding in advice about how to use the bits in the starter as you’ve only really talked about the caster from the box so far.
Cheers, we thought as there is much more info about on line for the other main factions we should try and give a new Ret player a bit more help if we could regarding the battlebox.
As simple as the Ghost Sniper is it isnt something that can go in 90% of all lists the main goal of this series is to point new players to stuff that they can get milage out of in most of their lists while they are finding their feet.

A couple of things that might be noteworthy a) With the sentinels, their Defensive line can often be a “trap”. By this I mean, that you typically don’t want your Sentinels base to base. There are alot of attacks out there, that ignore armour, at which point you’ve helped the guy you’re fighting. Generally, spreading out as much as possible, helps combat aoe / spray damage, because less people fit under the aoe in the first place. All good points and thanks for posting that all up. Its a very tricky balance to go through all the tricks each model can do in various situations without it being information overload.
Hopefully what we put up in the video will be a good starting point for a new player and they can either read about these subtle extra tactics or learn them theirselves over time.
Yup it was a good video / job. Truth be told, I don’t know where I’d begin if I were making a video, because it would be too easy to get bogged down with the actual rules and how they work with just this faction.
Hopefully the big (probably boring) blog of text I’ve written just about covering fire and arc nodes, encourages some to take a much closer look at the rules, and realise that alot of work has gone into the actual wording. That it is meant to be as particular as it is.
