Trolls are great fun. However, the battlebox is a bit lacking for initial games, but it is amazing how it can change around if you swap out one Impaler for a Dire Troll Mauler. The extra strength being a great boost to Madrak or the remaining Impaler. Coupled with the Thresher that is a good troop clearance model. Plus the Thresher can speed up that Mauler. woot kev and mike! got some models for this faction and it will be my next faction once i’m happy with my khador (almost finished painting them!) so nice to see this before i went and bought more… surprised by the beast choices but the rest was what i expected really.
@nazghallion thanks, curious what beasts you would say as we trying to give new players a wide selection at a reasonable starting cost – yes you could say mulg or earthborn etc but they do cost a fair bit of cash
well the mauler seems more like the beginner model between it and the bomber and is seen in more lists so was surprised by the bomber although think it’s a good choice. Pyre troll i expected but the storm troll was another i expected as it appears to be a staple for many lists… possibly a little complicated for beginners i suppose.

I don’t know why … WarmaHorde’s miniatures are good quality … nice details, good pauses and everything, yet I don’t feel any urge to buy them whatsoever.
It’s like the stuff that works in video games just doesn’t hit my miniature collecting spot …
( the new Hobbit miniatures on the other hand … )
Really liking the first Hoard battle box and beyond video. Have been waiting for these for a long time. I have been meaning to get a hoards faction but have been holding judgement on which one to get until I see all the factions.
I have Menoth and Cryx and looking for something very different to those 2 factions. So far Troll bloods seem like Menoth in a way with all the layering that they have. Can’t wait to see the next ones.

listening to the protective aura from the stone scribes just gives me the image from Star Wars episode 1 when the gungans deploy their shield generators, and this big blue bubble just appears over all the Trollbloods. I have to say while I sit on the fence for a Warmachine faction the fact the two games (Warmachine and Hordes) can be played against each other does lead me to consider getting into Trollbloods as they are imo the most entertaining looking Hordes army, I do wonder though after watching the WarmaHordes battle report is the shellacking the Legion army got… Read more »
