It’s a rather simple no nonsense model. I would have thought this would have given them a chance to show what they can do. Many of the other models they do are full of detail. This just looks normal to the standard they go by.
Imagine the challege it would be to paint right. This will not be a simple spray and dip mini. To make it look like a towering bronze statue will take a lot of talent. I cant wait to see what it will look like all tarnished and weathered.
I think @wildchevy and @ubiquanon have it right now that I looked at the Ray Harryhausen video. I wonder if this is a nod to the master of stop motion?
Think of traditional bronze casting. It is not overly detailed. I think they are trying to stay true to the idea that this guy is a giant bronze statue come to life. Fortunately for me, I appreciate both strong attention to detail and intricacy, as well the clean and subtle approach. In this case I think you judge the model on proportionality and accuracy of muscular detail. I think they nailed it.

The big bronze dude that Herakles fights in Jason and the Argonauts.
Would prefer to go the way of Hylas in the original stories rather than the Haussmann film and be seduced by naiads! lol
You could certainly do a scenario for the skirmish game round this guy.
Not bad, and a lot more static than their previous lot. But then again, it is a massive statue. Reminds me of God of War heh.
Would be nice to have this in a themed dungeon.
