Great video
Would love to start Carnevale. Problem as ever are the usual limiting factors.
Which is a real pity as this looks right up my street. I mean canal.
Wonder if it would work in a Steamlace setting of my hometown Birmingham! lol
I have to ask, where is the terrain from? it’s stunning.
Great video. Definitely keen to try the rules
Hey man, the guys at Vesper-On were actually kind enough to send us their Salute 2012 table to use. I can’t remember who made it off the top of my head, but I know the group’s name is mentioned in one of the vids so keep an eye out for that.
BoW Sam
it is mentioned in the next video (first of the how to play vids)
Alkemy has canals in the lands of the Khaliman… But that’s about it.
Venice is truly unique, and Carnevale is a truly great game full of gorgeous models, led by a superb storyline…
The only games I know of so far that have all of this, to that highest of degree, are Infinity and Hell Dorado.
Just thought I’d say it, for the record !

So Terrain is a 100% must with all you can get. Terralinks and Terraclips come to my mind but they aren’t like Venice like to me. Any other option for printable terrain ? I want to calculate a starter budget for this one.
Spray paints (a few cans), insulating foam (a few sheets of this inch-wide material), lots of glue, some sand… And a ballpoint pen.
Oh, the three Ps :
Preparation, Planning, Patience.
An enthusiastic review deserves a serious look.
“A game you can get hooked on”. I like the sound of that.
I am overjoyed to see you gushing over this game. I’ve been a fan since its release. The rules are clean, tight, and fast, and the setting is compelling. All in all, it’s a fantastically fresh game, where the rules can fade to the background, while you focus on the action and the story. And the models rock, too. Who doesn’t love a Frankenstein Steampunk Rhinocerous!
The guy that has just been trampled by a Frankenstein Steampunk Rhinoceros? lol
Sounds interesting. Also, on first impressions gameplay-wise sounds similar to Inquisitor to be honest.
I’ve had my eye on this for a while. It looks like a great concept and a lot of fun. Does any one have an idea where I could find a nice paper craft gondola model?!
This looks fantastic !!
Looking at venice via google maps is great for getting ideas about board layouts, and you can model them after actual buildings and plazas. I would not have had a clue that every rooftop in venice is red…who knew?
