The Aberration Shudders onto the Carnevale Stage
February 7, 2012 by brennon
Fishmen, Harlequins and all manner of other interesting models have come out of the guys at Vesper-on Games and Carnevale so far, so how about something particularly gruesome and terrifying, the Aberration perhaps?
A pretty impressive looking monster. Seems to have all the right twisted beauty about it to fit into the setting and scare away most of your opponents.
The Aberration are part of the faction known as The Gifted, a group of independent mercenaries willing to fight for whoever has the most gold in their purse. What's also pretty fantastic is that the miniature is so close to its art work, down to the ripped trousers and torn straight jacket.
Certainly the Cthulhu vibe is alive and well in Venice.
I bet you wouldn't want to run into him on a dark night in Venice?

Wow !
Now THAT’s an abomination… Suitable for any horror game !

It would be perfect for Everblight, I don’t know exactly what solo/unit/beast could represent but it would definitely be awesome to see it in a Legion’s army 🙂
:'( My wallet carries on getting emptier…
OK, this is getting crazy! To be honest I didn’t really know where Carnevale was going to go, but after seeing this it’s clear that is aiming to be a top tear game! This is a truely wondrous model in my eyes. I need to get this as it can be for so many games!
Thats one scary looking monster.
Carnevale is fast becoming what I wished for Malifaux to be.
That’s simply supreme! I like my calamari fresh and aggressive 😉
I think that could also make for a great unit filler in something, somewhere…on the subject why has no one done a fishman army yet? Mantic? Ronnie? Alessio? SOMEONE give me a Lovecraftian Deep One army NOW!
Pleeeeeaaaaase 🙂
My Carnevale rulebook and first faction arrived in the mail last week. I am so pumped. I agree with lucas — this is the skirmish game I’ve been waiting for: characterful models and setting; a straightforward rule-system that can generate both tactics and surprises; and profiles that are not overwrought brainburners. I look forward to building my canal-district terrain!
Nice looking model…I agree that Malifaux has some new kids on the block to worry about
i’m liking the style of the stuff coming out of Carnivale, looking forward to see what they come up with next.
