April 24, 2017 by dignity
If you are looking for a Guild Ball team with a winning mentality how about a Guild that has won the Championship two years in a row. In this Guild guide, we take a look at the Masons.
Watch Guild Ball Week
The Mason's Guild is a flexible team that will change strategy depending on the opposition or even mid-turn if the situation calls for it. They are considered to be very honourable and tends to buff one another rather than mess with their opponents

Yes! Guildball is getting some BoW Love again!
I like the aesthetic of these minis.
Great review. Keep it up
Ohhhh Jack of all trade faction that can give activation to another mini ….. Love that
love the double play from the sisters
Well my teams’ videos were number one and number two. Yeah Honour and Harmony can wombo combo like no other especially if Marbles is in the mix too. I’ve had more succuss with the Masons that with my Alchemists but both are fun.
When I ordered the Kick Off! box I thought I’d end up playing the Masons. I love their sense of honor and what their different players do, on paper. Turns out flexibility just means being able to make more wrong choices, for me! lol
I ended up playing the Drunks instead. They’re pretty straight forward, knock you on your keister kind of players.
These models are gorgeously painted. Unfortunately the plastics aren’t quite as nice. I’ve also picked up seven of the Fisherman’s Guild in metal, though, and they’ve been a joy to paint.
Are all the factions as tricky as the masons. This is a beginner friendly force. I cannot wait until my copy gets here.
Are you sure he’s able to carry a hammer into one of these matches?
Mason’s rock’s 😉
loving the monkey/gibbon mini and the sculpts for the others as well
Sounds like a good guild to learn with like Justin said. Minis look great also.
this is my guild! and i’m happy that hey’re finally brought up to the right scale with kick off. i just hope we will see honor again in the future!
Just picked up the hunters, but after listening to this, really like the sound of the Mason’s Guild as well. Thanks for doing the videos. Looking forward to starting Guild Ball myself, so great seeing the videos.
Been thinking about getting into Guildball for a long time now. Looks great!
Beautiful looking team and loving the Synergy of the members!
Looks like a solid team
Masons look like a good all-around faction. Being flexible tactically is a great advantage.
Keep this coming, guys!
Very good looking minis
Ah, the Masons. Love Mallet’s powerful charge threat! Especially if you give him the ball to kick-off, he can be in and swinging before you know it.
What happened to going through the factions alphabetically…Lol @dignity
LOL! I was coming to comment the same thing
Might have to grab the box of metal masions in my near by store. Did not realise the models were so nice.
The minis for this game are just phenomenal!
I have a question, in the video they mentioned the Masons have a “Season 2” captain. I know that Season 3 is now available. Does this mean that some characters are no longer valid in future seasons and are replaced or is this just a way for you to purchase more characters to give you more meta game choices? I am trying to gauge how much is choice or “must have” making this a game of which player has more money to purchase more characters.
I was wondering the same thing. What’s the difference between the seasons?
The season 2 captain is Hammer. You can play with any combination of captains and players in no matter what season rules you are using so you can still play as Honour with a bunch of season 2 & 3 Mason players. In the story, Honour was maimed and is no longer on the Masons team, but on the table, you can still use her. There are veteran versions of players as well, so there’s a season 2 Veteran Harmony who has different abilities and no longer synergizes with Honour (better sculpt too). You can still play season 1 Harmony… Read more »
As for how much you have to spend to play, you really only need 8 players to make a full team (two sit out each game, but you can mix up your line-up depending on who your opponent brings). I have every Mason mini, but my team is usually comprised primarly of season 1 minis. The older minis are still effective. The new ones just bring new tricks to the table that you may want to play with or may not.
New players are added each season but that doesn’t effect who you can play in the game, just gives you new options. Character are introduced and some even die or change teams in the fluff but all models released models are legal when building teams.
