Guild Ball Week: Faction Guide – Fisherman’s Guild
April 25, 2017 by dignity
We take a look at the Guild Ball team that have little interest in fighting but focuses instead on scoring goals. So much so that the mascots get involved, it's the Fisherman's Guild!
Watch Guild Ball Week
If you've seen our Guild chat about the Butcher's Guild you'll know that these two teams are the polar opposite to one another in terms of playing style but as you will discover are tied by blood.
We also take a look at the "best model in the game". Can you guess who or what it will be?
Prizes To Be Won
During this week you could win One of Three Copies of the Guild Ball Kick Off! Starter Set as seen in our Kick Off! Demo Game.

These are the boys (and girls)
These guys have got me hooked on your videos
another great looking guild … i fear one day i’ll end up with all of them … or at least most of them.
It’s the best way to go, real should get my fish on the table
Looks like a nice bunch to paint! Great style in GB so far.
I really enjoy agile teams, so this seems really interesting.
Salt is very cool.
Hmmm not sure whether these ones are for me butbiblove the scupts
My main team and the current best team at playing the pure scoring game.
Very enjoyable team to paint as well since you can play around with many ethnic skintones to reflect the different cultures represented in the team, Nordic for Shark, Afro-Caribbean for Corsair, Japanese or Sakana etc.
Painting Krakan up as a Maori with full tattoos was fun and challenging
Fisherman’s Guild is my first team. I do enjoy the Brewers for a bit of a contrast, but I love my Fish.
Still working on my lineup. So far I’ve had more luck with Tentacles in the middle tying people up than with Salt running around. Salt just feels like a weaker Angel to me.
My next purchase is Sakana, though. Need a nice flexible piece in there.
These
Fishermen: I imagine strong in defense, tackling, Blocking and with aoe snares and debuffs to speed
Brewers might have their fancy tartans but fishermen have the coolest tattoos
Sounds like they’re as slippery as their fresh catch…
An opponent would be wanting to lock down the ball for sure.
Not fair we did not see Angel’s mini. From the Artwork, she appears to be one of the coolest characters so far.
Not counting Scum that is. Psychotic ginger tomcats always rule
Love the aesthetics of the Fisherman’s Guild.
Shark looks really cool.
I was hoping to see the mini for Angel as well, these look like they could be my second faction … I am very much like the agile goal scoring approach. its why I played Skaven in Bloodbowl.
Go Team Sushi!
Great looking Guild. I’ll probably end up owning if just to paint them.
They look great!
My second team, fun to play. They are a finesse team though, so harder difficulty for a starter team.
The asthestic of this game is just fantastic. Probably as much much as anything I’ve seen it’s a game that makes me want to get more and more of the factions. Not just one or two.
This would also seem like a good game for BoW to start a tactic series for. Something like the drofleet one, showing of one or two models and the synergies of their special rules.
I´d like to play the Fisherman, but first I should finish my Brewers and Hunters
Tricky team to play against, big respect to the Fisherman Guild.
Fisherman, the actual football team that got lost and turned up to a Guild Ball game.
