It's Part Seven and time for the Speeder Bikes!
Again we're focusing on getting the miniatures tabletop ready nice and quickly so after the base coat and zenith, I dove in with some Gun Metal dry brushing.
For the seat and pack on the back I used some Vallejo Game Air Khaki.
The Dark Tone wash was then focused in on the dry brushed metallic areas and Livery Green added to bring up the base facings.

Is there an option to model the engine flaps open? I keep seeing them closed, but they are open during flight. I don’t mind modding, just curious if they can be open by default.
This is the second time I’ve heard you say that you saw Return of the Jedi first. What kind of cruel people made you watch them out of order? 🙂
As far as the painting, these came out quite well. The bikes have a pretty simple paint scheme, just like the AT-ST and Stormtrooper armor. Still getting my vote for an army if absolutely nothing else but for the easier paint jobs. If anyone is interested in a cross section of the bike, you can see it here. Serves as a reference for painting.

I love all of these painting videos. Lots of ideas on how to get models onto the table and playing the games as quickly as possible. That stated please dont feel it is neccesary to state over and over in the video that you are not doing competition level painting. Different steps for different purposes. I enjoy both types of painting, so dont feel you have to apologies for getting an army on the table (that looks great by the way) in a quick and efficient manner.
