Special Forces TIE Expansion Pack In The Stars For X-Wing
July 20, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
"I always wanted to fly one of these things."
Poe Dameron
The Special Forces TIE Fighter races into X-Wing at break neck speed and its pilots are likely to make frequent and deliberate use of its auxiliary firing arc.
This bad boy not only looks awesome, but brings with it Special Ops Training which allows you to fire from both the front and rear arcs. Yes, it's tricky. But hey, that's what Special Ops Training is for!
Granted this is not an easy manoeuvre- it can be difficult enough to line up one target in the dogfighting. But with the risk, comes reward. It allows you to fire twice!
And then there's the Quickdraw ability. "Quickdraw" can make your opponent suffer for shooting at her.
The first time each round that she loses a point of shielding, "Quickdraw" can perform a primary weapon attack. Since any shot from her auxiliary firing arc is technically made with her primary weapon, this means she can fire her retaliatory shot at any foe either behind or before her.
This beauty is currently available for preorder through Fantasy Flight Games and will be soon coming to a galaxy near you.
Will you be looking into some Special Ops Training for X-Wing?

I think this was the variant Poe and Finn stole in The Force Awakens.
@dorthonion – Yeah I’d say that’s the one! RRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
That sounds painful 🙂
I like that color scheme.
X-wing has been my big hobby-shock this year 🙂
I absolutely love these wee ships – As a kid I used to collect Micro-Machines 🙂
“STAR WARS”
it is amazing , because its STAR WARS.
no one does star fighters like STAR WARS, period.
I might be biased and a little over enthusiastic as I have just got home from celebrations.
Oh my, just what the TIE Swarm needed.
Beware those who engage it from behind.
The black works on the new Tie Fighters because of the white panels – but do you think black is suitable colour for a game repaint?
I feel inspired by this: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ds_r7RPyBN8/U-pQEdWou7I/AAAAAAAAGkY/2hxfkaxlAjw/s1600/20140812_122517.jpg
but will it just ‘disappear’ on the game mat?
the Heroes of the Alturi Cluster has a Tie Interceptor with an experimental cloak that I’m definitely going to repaint black with a lightning effect 🙂
I have been trying to avoid buying the Force Awakens releases but it…is…so…hard…!
Lovely looking Tie Fighter 🙂
