Return To The Path Of Carcosa In Arkham Horror
May 30, 2022 by fcostin
If you have been waiting for an excuse to get involved in Arkham Horror - now might be a great opportunity. With the recently revised core set, Fantasy Flight Games announced that there will be a change in the release schedule so all of the expansions and editions do not feel so overwhelming. Placing detectives and campaigns in two different sets so players can pick their chosen emphasis throughout their investigations.
Path of Carcosa Expansions // Arkham Horror: The Card Game
One of the older expansions for Arkham Horror, Path of Carcosa is heading back into retail this summer. Bringing Arkham Horror a touch of The King in Yellow. There are two boxes set to be released. If you are keen on investing some time into new investigators to head off into your Lovecraftian-themed explorations you should be sure to check out Investigator Expansion. However, if you are happy with your current payroll and want to dip into some new adventures, you can get a new stack of paranormal enquiries in the Campaign Expansion.

If you are buying into the new revised edition of Arkham Horror, there have been a few quality of life improvements throughout the new edition. If you do have your original set of the Path of Corcosa, do not worry - you are not missing out. Although some of the cards will contain new artwork and a bit of rephrasing here and there - they are fundamentally the same. So do not worry about getting an updated set to align with the new release schedule.
Campaign Card Preview // Path of Carcosa
If you want to bury your head into some new content now, the first of the new edition expansions has already been released. With new investigators and a campaign on the Edge of the Earth.
The two expansions for Arkham Horror will be set to release on July 31st. If you want to get your pre-order in now, you can head over to the Fantasy Flight Games website, or across several retail stores for $44.99 for The Path to Carcosa Investigator Expansion and $69.99 for the Campaign Expansion.

My friend has picked up so much of the Arkham Horror series – I might have to sit down with him and start going through these mysteries.
they are really good from the few I have managed to solo through.
I had been on the look out for the most compelling RPG-lite in a boardgame format for over a decade when I finally experienced Arkham Horror LCG. It has everything I could want in an RPG-like experience, including meaningful choices within a coherent narrative and characters that progressed in interesting ways. I had sought fruitlessly among the dungeon-crawl niche of the hobby. Nothing comes close to this. I would love to find a game of this quality set in some fantasy universe.
I’m in the middle of a campaign for this game right now. So far it is going well.
