FFG Previews The M12-L Kimogila Expansion Pack For X-Wing
November 6, 2017 by thisisazrael
The Scum faction for Fantasy Flight Games' X-Wing is set to get a boost in Wave XII as the M12-L Kimogila enters the fray.
The ship is a firm favourite with mercenaries due to the variety of weapon load-outs it can take and what it loses out in manoeuvrability it gains in firepower.
The Kimogila introduces the "Bullseye" firing arc alongside its standard front-facing arc.
Ships caught in their perfect position are rewarded with huge weapon volley's as they are denied the ability to spend focus or evade tokens when defending.
While your basic low-level mercs may indeed like the Kimogila, this doesn't mean that respected pilots won't also make the most of this ships tools.
Dalan Oberos, for example, can increase the threat of the Bullseye arc by gaining free target locks!
On the other hand you could take up arms with Torani Kulda who's high pilot skills helps to plan your positioning to unleash a dead Bullseye attack.
Her ability allows her to force all enemy ships in her Bullseye arc to either suffer one damage or remove their focus and evade tokens.
Combining her barrel roll with her already high pilot skill should give you some real tactical options.
I'm really loving the new abilities we've seen so far for Wave XII and hope that some of these make it to the top tables at Worlds next year.
What are you flying these days?

ooh a new ship what was that in?
Most notably? Star Wars Galaxies. However I am pretty sure this is another creation that originated from the WEG Star Wars RPG.
ok thanks an interesting looking ship.
Interesting ship but I have kept mostly to the film stuff, don’t play competitively so no need to look at others. Still love the game for a fun 150-200 point scrap preferably from the films only stuff.
Very nice.
Cool looking Tau flyer.
You know… being a Trek guy, if I squinted and painted it green, it could pass as a Romulan.
