Bossk & Sabine Wren Revealed As New Star Wars: Legion Operatives
February 7, 2019 by brennon
Bossk and Sabine Wren are the new Operatives dropping for Star Wars: Legion soon thanks to Fantasy Flight Games. The first of these, Bossk, fights for the Galactic Empire and hangs around in a surly crowd featuring fellows like Boba Fett and IG-88!
As one of the most dangerous bounty hunters in the galaxy, Bossk can bring to bear both his claws and also a whole array of weapons too. He can be assembled in two different stances too, both of which showing off his Relby-v10 Mortar Rifle. You can also assemble him firing it in two hands rather than holding a grenade...
He can also scramble over terrain with ease and even make himself enraged, able to slash and tear when the fighting gets brutal and up-close. More previews are going to be dropping as they look at his cards in more detail, but I think we've got a great new addition to the Galactic Empire here, giving you a new way to spook enemy heroes.

As well as Bossk we have Sabine Wren, a fan favourite character from the expanded Star Wars lore. Much like with Bossk she comes with an alternate pose, something which I hope we see more of with Star Wars: Legion as characters get released.
She is armed with her twin Westar-35 Blaster Pistols OR you can swap out one of them for the legendary Darksabre. She can also be assembled with either her helmet on (which looks a little too big...) or without. I prefer her with helmet off although that isn't exactly great for the battlefield of course.
Much like with Bossk she can leap across terrain very easily and works well at range and also close up too. With jetpack on hand, she can also leap up and through terrain that would normally take forever to clamber up. No objective or character is safe from her reach.
What do you think of this pair?

Nice.Very excited to see Bossk arrive in game. The Sabine mini i will be building with the Darksaber and helmet ( nothing to do with my inability to paint faces properly….).
Modular! Poseable! IAMSOF*CKINGEXCITED! 8)
With the two different load outs folk might be getting two copies of these unless I can swap the weapons fit without glue?
I’d bet my ass on the fact that the torso will have the same “slots” for arms as all other models. So you could “slotfit” them. Or use magnets.
With Bossk there’s no real difference in the load-out I don’t think as he still has the gun in either case and you can just assume he has the grenade – with Sabine it’s a different matter but I think you could get away with just knowing she has the Darksaber as an upgrade if you took the card rather than it being WYSIWYG.
Depends on your opponent I guess.
WYSIWYG doesn’t apply to SW:L. To many upgrade cards that have no representation on the model. Grenades, scopes etc. So I’d go for the “rule of cool” and build it the way you like it the most.
Agreed. I think these are cosmetic options rather than in game ones.
Excellent to see these figures. Will allow more variety of things to do in legion.
Heck yes! Great to see more of Phoenix Squadron
Very nice. I am liking that they give Sabine both head and pose options. It’s very fitting to her character.
Looking fantastic, Legion becomes harder and harder to hold off on daily.
Will greedo be coming out for the bounty hunters
Just the dead version.
If they do, to make the mini “stand” more, they need to make him slump on the cantina table 🙂
No, he’ll get a translucent version… with a hole in his chest… and his special ability will be “haunting Solo” and negate his zero pip card.
Also a neat idea
Yeah!
After the Fett, Bosk is my fave bounty hunter! Sabine will be very nice too, if i manage painting part well 😉
Hope that means the rest of the Ghost crew will be making their appearence soon 🙂
Looks like i’m going to have to buy 2 of each so that I can make both versions 🙂
Well, 1 Boskk and 2 Sabine anyway.
Optional ways to build? Sounds like a good excuse to buy two for conversions. A non Bossk bounty hunter who also happens to be Trandoshan and in another colour scheme? Nice!
