Evil Bear Show Off Painted Modern Military British Army Panther
October 16, 2015 by brennon
Evil Bear have been busy working away on their Modern Military and Near-Future forces for OSC. The latest model to come off the production line, and it should be available soon, is the British Army Panther...
The Panther is a real world military vehicle and can be transported into the war zone under a Chinook. Of course it comes with a rather nasty looking machine gun on the top which is going to come in handy when it's on patrol.
You can see the Panther here next to some British Soldiers from Empress. I think it's a good looking vehicle and has painted up very well. I imagine if you wanted to make this vehicle look a bit more Near-Future you could remove the machine gun and put something a bit more deadly on the top.
What do you think?

Machine guns are plenty deadly, and I imagine we’ll still use them well into the “near future”, but I take your point. It is a nice looking vehicle for the modern warfare gamers.
Mars Attacks! has a truck that could be replaced by the Panther if you wanted to simulate the Martian Invasion in Britain.
The models nice, but the actual vehicle is rubbish basically a giant fiat and has a hard time going cross country, bits keep falling off.
looks more new Jeep with the old Landover front wings to me.
It’s really nice looking model.
monsterhead They never fixed the rattling to bits then. When it was being developed I had a look at a couple of them. Then again it is hard to cover all the briefs asked of it or any government project, as it needs to be a very one size fits all needs, for cost and production costs for further types. An interesting point when looking at a lot of military larger hard wear. There are of course success stories too. Leopard 2 being one of the largest recently to the right up to date as yet and lets hope never… Read more »
It doesn’t really know what its for we had them for the ssm and sqms to follow the tanks around in, but they cant go where the tanks can so we just switched back to 432s. Don’t think they were even aloud out of the gates in Afghanistan, just seem like a waste of money.
Panther? No turret, no treads, not German? GTFO! ;P
that’s cutbacks for you.
I like it probably still smaller than the hummers but.
Nice model though!
