Speed Painting Away With Gaz – Quick Brushwork Chap!
Gaz began painting yesterday and he's already making exceptional progress on painting up these miniatures for Wolsung.
Hopefully, we'll be seeing some finished miniatures by the end of the weekend but we think he's done a superb job picking out the details so quickly and working through those base colours.
Food Time...But Is Gerry Distressed?
The food arrives for today and folks get stuck into some grub to fuel them up for an afternoon of gaming here at BoW HQ.

Action In The Streets
We took some time to get down amongst the action and have a look at some of the combats breaking out between the different characters on the streets of Lyonesse.
Wolsung really does invoke some cool moments buoyed on by the awesome characters and the quick and easy mechanics.

I think I would go for The Scylla and Ash & Oak.
Is there a reason why there are 2 versions of the starter sets? Is it just two bundle deals?
They just come with different characters if you’d prefer to start playing using a different set of models
Your heroes can recruit a variety of different henchmen, makes for a different game each time you play.
There doesn’t appear to be much overlap between any of the starters, either. That’s nice if you’re trying to build up some options on a budget.

Wolsung looks amazing. I’ve really been wanting to play a steampunk tabletop game. The models look amazing and I don’t know what faction I’d play.

Looking at that shot of all the tables with the building terrain is awesome.
couldn’t afford a ticket before they sold out, but i got myself a Gigantic Golem and a bag of magnets to put together while i watch over the weekend, and for those who think a giant robot is a strange way to get into a new game, I say iv got a GIANT ROBOT.
Gigantic Golem is awesome, need to get mine assembled. Love my Ash and Oak and Van Rier are very interesting to play.
Ye man you should really consider getting one, super nice to clean up and get ready, im trying to finger out where to put some magnets on it, but a standard assembly would take no time. But come on Inventors all the way, although Ash &Oak do have lady Dorothy on the awesome bike thing, so not the worst choice.
Looking forward to seeing everyone get down and dirty with their teams.

Who are the three special Boot Camp figures shown on the web site? What faction(s) do they work for? The halfing looks like an Inventor but could work for Scylla, the swordsman Ash and Oak and the lady Ven Rier?

I remember seeing a Wolsung game at Salute a couple of years back and it looked really great on the table. It’s always interested me.
