UK Games Expo 2024: Live Blog

If you’re needing a break from all of the stalls while at UKGE 2024 why not head over to the Open Gaming Zone in hall three.  Full of awesome board games for all ages and levels of experience you can sit down at a table and play a board game with your friends or maybe even make some new ones by playing with people who have similar interests.

Ben takes us for a trip around Hall three at UKGE 2024 to have a look at all of the different games being played at a tournament level as he gets a little bit too excited about Crokinole.

Welcome back to UKGE 2024!  It is the second day of the show and Ben is here to show us around the floor of hall two.

Gerry has a chat with Annie from Bad Squiddo Games about the newest additions to their range.  Bad Squiddo Games do a plethora of female miniatures from historical minis to Sci-Fi and everything in between, they’ve even added a bunch of scenery to their catalogue from grass tufts to snow flock.  Most excitingly they have a new range of miniatures out at UKGE 2024,  Capybaras and Guinea Pigs as well as Zombies and Ghouls!  Even if you fancy zombified guinea pigs or ghoulish capybaras, Bad Squiddo Games have you covered.  Check out their range here.

Gerry got to chat with the folks from Czech Games Edition and covers the brand new games they have been working on including the awesome Seti which has certainly grabbed our attention.

Of course Gerry had to stop off with the folks from Goblin King Games to talk about the awesomeness that is Moonstone. The game has gone from strength to strength and it’s multi-award winning don’t you know? Gerry talks about what’s new AND what they have this year at the show.

Sam Steele of Misfit Hobbies got to chat to us about some of the awesome roleplaying game supplements that he has been working on over the last while. There is also new game on the way called Cryptborn, an excellent roll-and-write idea for those wanting a bit of solo play.

Raybox Games are a favourite of ours and it’s great to see them back here at UK Games Expo showing off their new game and some of their classics. Coming later this year is the awesome The Cats Of Mont Saint-Michel which takes their “game in a book” formula and adds it to an anthropomorphic adventure.

If you’re passionate about hedgehogs and you want to dive into a game all about them then you can’t go too far wrong with Diary Of A Lincoln Geek’s Hedgehog Haven. The game is in the final stages of art production and will be coming to crowdfunding soon. It looks cute and awesome!

If you’re into your Viking warfare and like a good head-to-head game, why not try the very tactile Bord from Turnabout Games? It started out life as a handmade product and now is going BIG with more versions of it for you to check out here at the show.

If you’re a fan of the likes of Gloomhaven and Frosthaven then you might want to check out Rove which is currently crowdfunding and offers up their unique take on a classic adventure game. With incredibly easy set-up and some stunning artwork PLUS a great story, there is a lot to like about Rove.

We dive into a look at Havocville which is a fantastic game of gods and the destruction that they cause. As you might imagine, the ways that the gods play with lives has an effect on hummanity!
