Blogging At This Event:
PHALANX: Successors, Fire In The Sky & Brand New - Bretwalda!
PHALANX has been really busy with a selection of their games. They have been working away on all manner of titles which move from light through to medium and heavy weight.
Fire In The Sky seems like a big crunchy board game for those who like their hex and counter tabletop games. Bretwalda on the other hand is a little lighter but looks absolutely gorgeous! I love the way they have presented this and I am all in!
Bretwalda! Coming Soon From PHALANX Games!
So I had to show this off again. Bretwalda is a brand new board game coming soon from the folks at PHALANX. The idea is that it is based around the idea of becoming the Chief King of Anglo-Saxon England.
The artwork for this game is stunning and the pieces are going to be wonderful and wooden. It feels like an artefact of the period. I also like that this game is going to be a little bit of a lighter experience. It has crunch but it feels around the “medium weight” category. I am a massive Dark Age fan so this is very, very intriguing!
Ian Livingstone: Talking To A Legends! Board Games FTW! #UKGE2021
Ben got to have a quick chat with Ian Livingstone about what he has been enjoying about the UK Games Expo this weekend. He has been here talking Fighting Fantasy BUT also looking for some board games to hunt out.
Perhaps you’ll be part of the crowd that will give some terrible advice and get Ian’s “willing” victim killed as part of his Fighting Fantasy show which he does every year.
Battle Systems: Amazing Terrain Perfect For Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Zombies! #UKGE2021
Battle Systems has always been a stunning terrain company and this year, they have gone to town on their stand. There are loads of fantastic looking terrain kits which cross a number of genres.
Of course, you’ve also got Core Space! This game has gone from strength to strength AND is going to be expanded even more. This is a great game that you can check out for yourself over on OnTableTop as part of our Let’s Plays.
TTCombat: Discussing Everything New! Terrain & More
Want to check out what TTCombat has to offer at UKGE? John has taken a look around the large and diverse booth. Including releases for Dropfleet Commander, Dropzone Commander, Rumbleslam, Carnival, MDF Terrain and an eager look at their new spray paint range. If you are a fiend for event exclusive miniatures, TTCombat’s booth is a booth that you do not want to miss!
One Day To Go! UK Games Expo Day Two Wrap-Up! #UKGE2021
We have come to the end of another day of coverage from the UK Games Expo. Day two has been awesome and we can’t wait to get stuck into more tomorrow. More games, more tech, more miniatures, more fun.
…maybe we’ll even get some Viking action into the mix? There is still loads that you can enjoy if you missed out on Friday and Saturday. Sunday runs from 10:00am till 16:00pm and you’ll still have a whale of a time if you can make it down.
Free looks like she should be in mortal kombat
Are you suggesting she should be send to Outworld to fight to the death?
I didn’t make it this year, despite it being in my actual city and I’m not gonna lie I’m a little sad about this.
