What Is Holy Havoc?
The event will play out between twenty teams (forty players) where they will take on five team games of Age of Sigmar. They will be fighting on amazing tables packed with wonderful terrain to enhance the experience.
Most of all everything is focused on fun which is always good to see!
This is the second event we've covered by the Holy Hammers and you can follow the first Holy War Live Blog HERE.

Holy Havoc Age of Sigmar Team Tournament Is About To Begin!
Rats In Hats Represents With Their New Round Bases
Steve Herner, the Holy Havoc coordinator, and master of terrain and conversions has brought back his fantastic Rats In Hats army- complete with their new round bases. This tournament awards an extra point for presentation if you use the round bases.
"The Battles Have Begun!"
No CommentsTable 1: Aelf, The Shrine Of The Phoenix
The teams are deploying their armies on Table 1. This game features the first of our 2 teams that we will follow over the next 2 days, Eric Oakland & Davy Calkins. We'll have a chat with them after their first game to hear about who they've brought for their armies and more about their warlord- who they have very ambitious plans for upgrading after game!
Battle Of The Big Beasties Ensues On Table 5
Table 5 has our second team that we're following, which includes Mike Butcher and Andrew Simmons. This game looks like one to watch as it's LOADED with big beasties- which seems fitting with that nasty big spider in the middle of the terrain!
"Epic Fail For Giant Called To War! Necrotic Ooze Is BRUTAL!"
No CommentsHeated Battles Are Getting Brutal
The teams are having a great time in their first games. There's even a husband & wife team in the tournament. Yvonne is excited to be playing and it's her first tournament. We'll make sure we talk to her later.
Blood & Guts Army
Mike & Andrew have brought Chaos Demons together for their army. Their Warlord is Tallomin Bubonicus.

The force of Destruction are in the thick of it with their opponents.
Beautiful Paint Jobs Out On All The Tables
You can tell a lot of love goes into all these armies by how fantastic they look. At the end of the day all the armies will be displayed for final judging for yhe painting competition, so i'll get pics of each of them.

Dawn sits down with Steve the Holy Havoc Tournament organizer and he gives us the run down on scenario 1.
Deploying For Game 2
Teams are strategizing for Game 2 and deploying their forces. Knowing they need to get their Warstone shards all the way across the table should make for interesting choices in set up.
Holy Havoc Cinematic Moments 1
Steve tells us about a really cinematic moment in the first round of game play.
The Quick and the Undead Look Amazing!
The more I look, the more cool things I see. There's so much painting talent in this room! Check out all the details in The Quick and the Undead army.
Warpstones Are Everywhere
For the most part, players have distributed their warpstones among their units- except for one. There's one model with all 10 warpstones- which could be glorious or an epic fail, should the opposing team take it out all together.
So Many Monsters, So Little Time!
I think my 2 favorite things about this tournament is the narrative involved in each scenario and the freedom in the build for the armies. There is something truly epic about the big beasties battling it out on the tables. And we're totally enjoying the conversations going on through game play as the story elements unfold.
"A Loud Cheer Erupts In A Battle!"
No CommentsHolding The Line Is Key With Scenario 2
It's become apparent that making an effort to hold the line is key to preventing your opponent to scoring on the objective with their warpstones. An early victory was claimed with a team getting all their warpstones across the table courtesy of teleporting! Loophole! And another game ended early voluntarily as the line was held and sufficiently blocked passage.
Game 2 With Mike And Andrew
Mike and Andrew advance with their armies
Tale of The Teams
Dawn sits down on the couch with Eric and Davey and get their thoughts on how they are doing in the tournament.
Epic Moments In Battle
Perhaps the best moments in these AoS games is when units are locked in battle and it becomes a matter of who will be the last one standing. There's been a lot of back and forth on dice rolls will saves.
What Does It Take To Win The Painting Competition?
Steve sits down with Dawn on the "War Couch" and tells us about the painting competition.

Welcome To Day Two Of The Holy Havoc Team Tournament
A Closer Look At The Kroaknado Army
Chris Broeska and Andrew Niekamp have come together with their Kroaknado Army. Their army combines the Seraphon and Stormcast Eternals as a Forces Of Order. They've put it together in a fantastic display with a stunning gate and portals, that ties it all together beautifully.
Khorne & Nurgle Combine For The Order Of Chaos
David Bierhaus & Tim Schmidt have combined the forces of Khorne & Nurgle for the Order of Chaos. My favorite model in this army is the Toad Dragon- he just looks epic with Tamurkhan the Maggot Lord riding on his back.
Game Three Aftermath With Davey and Eric

Dawn checks in with our other team that we have been following this tournament weekend, to see how they are doing so far.
Game 4 Is Heated With Armies Already Engaged In Combat
Players are already up close and personal with the enemies in game 4. There's some tense game faces, but also victorious cheers happening, which means players are enjoying their games.
Chaos Reigns Supreme As A Favorite
Tom McClure & Domus have combined forces to pull together a fantastic Chaos army. They have 2 of the coolest big creatures in their forces with the War Mammoth and Glottkin- both very hard to deal with on the battlefield.
Khorne, Bloodbound & Skaven Unite As The Blood Alliance
Dan Clements & Dominic Reitman have brought together Khorne, Bloodbound and Skaven as the Blood Alliance- and it looks pretty sweet! Even the board it's displayed on suits the overall feel of unity. This army features the only team that took the path of the Slayer for their warlord too.
Time For A Little Musical Interlude
We give you a little glimpse of what the total tournament looks like. Please enjoy.
Khorne & Tzeentch Combine In Blue For Unique Mashup
Joe Krier and Marvin Sims created an interesting mashup of Khorne and Tzeentch. What really made it interesting was going with blue as the primary color scheme. Their army included one of my favorite models, the Archaon the Everchosen.
Endless Destruction Unites The Forces Of Orcs & Ogres
Eric Oakland and Davy Calkins from the Mortal Realms Podcast have joined forces to deliver one of the coolest armies in the tournament. Endless Destrukshon is an amazing army of Orcs & Ogres where you see Tyranid conversions used in a brilliant way. Their display set us was extra awesome with its Egyptian flair.
Intel Briefing On Scenario 4
Dawn sits down with Steve on the War Couch and gets the background for Scenario 4.
Stormcast & Elves Combine In The Exorcism Of Ulgu
Alex Gonzalez (our resident Adepticon Fantasy coordinator) and John Wenger have brought together Elves and Stormcast in The Exorcism Of Ulgu. I love the hydras they've brought to the table!
Ogres & Stormcast Unite For The Saga Of Bloodfist & Dragonborn
Pat Brynildson and Walter Duncan have brought Ogres and Stormcast to the table for The Saga of Bloodfist and Dragonborn. This is an example of an army that came together beautifully on their display board with their coherent basing- plus the big creatures and machines look fantastic!

Rookie Cameraman Todd Gets A Chance With The Mic
So, we thought we would let Todd try out being in front of the camera and he finds the voice behind the Combat Phase Podcast and gets his thoughts on the Holy Havoc Tournament. Go easy it is his first time.
Nagash Makes An Appearance With The Undead
With permission to go crazy with your armies in a narative event like this, it's interesting that only one army showed up with Nagash. Not only does this army look fantastic, but it's been an absolute BEAST to play against and it's controlled by the husband and wife team of Matthew and Yvonne Carter.
A Stunning Display Of Undead From Lou & Nick
Lou Massignani and Nick Fenske have out together an fabulous Undead display. Their board really ties their forces together with a unified look- and those wings- wow!
Eric & Davy Have Taken Their Warlord To The Next Level
We have been following Eric & Davy through their tournament experience, and i just had to show off where they ended up with their Warlord. The narrative of Holy Havoc had the Warlords evolving each game, becoming even more powerful, and the guys took it to the next level by literally changing their Warlord each round. He is magnetized so his base became more and more elaborate and his weapons changed, giving him a truly epic feel and really embracing the spirit of the event. Well done, guys!
Chaos Rules With Tom & Vince Of Warhammer Weekly
Tom Lyons and Vincent Venturella pulled together an amazing Chaos army. Though one was based in snow and not the other, they really pulled it all together with their display board that incorporated snow throughout. Super smart and it really worked. They get extra enthusiasm points for bringing the crazy assortment of fantasy themed beverages too!
The End Has Come, How did Mike And Andrew Do?
Dawn sits down one last time with Mike and Andrew to see how the whole tournament went for them. Nice job guys and thank you for letting us follow along.
Do We Have A Winner?
Dawn sits down one last time on the War Couch and finds out did they pull off a win?
Well, That's All She Wrote.
We have come to the end, my friends. We hope you liked the show.
Wow that Skaven Army looks fantastic – the centre piece is brilliant….
Thank you for covering this event! Keep up the great work!
If you’re going to Cry Havoc, you need to let slip the Dogs of War. Speaking of which, when is AoS going to have a trans-realm mercenary faction like the old group from WHFB?
the models look great folks.
Thank you so much for for all your hard work bringing us coverage, its much appreciated!
Looks like a great event. Coverage is top notch as usual. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more.
Thanks for the excellent coverage, looks like a great event. Wonderful armies, terrain and scenarios. I would love to take part in a narrative event like this.
They’ve really got something special with this campaign setting. The players are really enjoying their games. It feels like a lot more casual, FUN, than uber competitive ame play- which i love.
Are they going to have the terrain rules online
You can find specifics about the rules on their website: http://havoc.holywarsgt.com/
Steve said he’ll post the terrain rules specifically in the near future.
I do like to see beasts of war covering events and you guys do such a good job.
I hope all the age of sigmar players at beasts of war have fun
Thanks so much! It was a great way to spend the weekend. 😀
