Delve Into The Big Four Of Late War

The guys over at Battlefront are also delving into Flames of War in a big way, as they recently launched their Big Four Of Late War project.

Delve Into The Big Four Of Late War

“On June 6, 1944, thousands of men were nervously waiting in landing craft, transport aircraft and bunkers as the fate of the world rested on their shoulders. The liberation of Europe was about to begin.

75 years later, across the world, thousands of gamers are preparing to embark on a journey of their own as Flames Of War returns to Late War. Starting with Fortress Europe and the D-Day series of books Battlefront will spend the next four years extensively covering the fighting in Europe through 1944 to 1945.”

Battlefront’s very own Big Four, Chris Townley, Wayne Turner, Victor Pesch, and Casey Davies, are all starting their own force and will be building it up in the hope of claiming victory.

We’ll be keeping an eye on this over the weekend and you can find out more in this Introduction to the Journey.

That colours of war book looks to be a great resource, and these new starter bundles seem a great deal.

I’d say it is a must-buy for anyone playing FoW or Team Yankee, because it covers stuff that the building instructions don’t explain (like the explanation of the various markings)

Any idea the price on the starter set?

I hope the Beasts post an compilations video on youtube like they did with the UKGE. That made it so much easier to see all the content and was a great success for me

I got next to nothing done last weekend, thanks to your live blogs from UKGE. Looks like this weekend is going to be a write-off too! (but in a good way, you know what I mean…)

What a great way to celebrate the 75th anniversary of D-day. I was lucky enough to be at Omaha beach on the 70th anniversary 5 years ago and it was a highlight of my life. The history, the sacrifices and the stories were just so awesome. Glad to see Flames of War still going strong, love that game, just need my super microscope glasses when it comes to painting the soldiers. Have a great camp fellas.

I want to win something. But this stuff looks so cool. I have to get something, but what? Also I will not be able to get anything anytime soon. As funds are to tight to get anything for the summer at least.
