What’s Going On at the Salute Set Up?
April 11, 2014 by dracs
Well, we made it. We're safely here at the place that all gamers dream of going to. No, not the pub. I am of course talking about Salute 2014. At the moment things are still setting up and we snatched a few pics to give you all a sneak peak of what to expect.
This year Salute has got even more space than ever before and it is quickly filling up with traders and games companies as they start to set up their stalls.
There are still plenty of intriguing boxes whose contents have yet to be unveiled to us, but from the looks of it I can safely say that this Salute will give plenty of people a bad case of shiny syndrome. We nearly lost John to the Forge World stand already, and they haven't even finished unpacking.
Even more exciting has been the glimpses we have seen of some of the gaming tables that are being set up.
Best of these, so far, has got to be the Dropzone Commander table that Hawk Wargames have brought along.
These are all looking awesome and we will be taking a closer look at it all tomorrow.
What do you want to see at Salute?
Looks awesome! Have a great time. Looking forward to seeing more.
Nerves setting in now, see you in the morning 🙂
My list is pretty endless, but if you can post a sneak peek of the Dropzone special model and the prices of the monorail and orbital laser, it would be much appreciated 🙂
Looks like a gamers’ grotto with all of the boxes of mines their have fun you lucky people.
I can’t wait! Is this event solo friendly? My partner in crime has pulled a sicky, he always misses the big events due to illness.
Westwind, Warlord and Warploque top my list! For gorgeous models: Tercio Creativo and Smart Max. Do Lead Adventure have a stall at Salute? I dig their stuff too.
think if I went I would need a van to hold all the stuff id want to buy well depending if they tale I.O.Us
One day I will find the time to attend. For me, the highlight of the show would have to be Horus from Forgeworld, which is a bit dull because we’ve all seen the model already, I just think it is simply fantastic.
Other than that, any new stuff from Hawk for DZC is always interesting, but for me , when I see the walkaround videos and photos of salute (and the big US events as well), simply seeing hundreds of people enjoying the hobby I’ve spent thirty years playing is my favourite part.
Having been to Salute, I think I prefer Derby or Colours as a show
