April 9, 2014 by crew
It's time for more of our coverage of Adepticon 2014. Today we see some of the cool stuff coming from our buddies at Battle Foam, some kick-ass looking minis and gaming tables for DeepWars, and a quick word with the guys behind Journey Wrath of Demons. Lastly, Dawn gets a look at what the Wyrd guys were getting up to in Malifaux.

I like Battlefoam’s new army style pouch-to-bag straps. Very clever. 🙂
I think Romeo is a little flustered to be interviewed by a lady, he’s usually a lot more energetic.
I like the direction of those new battlefoam bags. I was thinking about picking up a new one but looks like I’ll wait until I can get one of those modular bags.
Deep Wars has always had my interest to a degree. The models tends to be really nice if nothing else.
Oh, looks like the bags are already available for US customers at least on the website. They are 5 bucks more expensive and you will kind of need to get the accessories since they had to get rid of the side bags on the 720 for the modular set-up.
But I still feel it is a real neat idea and once it starts to take off we could see some really cool stuff become available.
Those Monkey minis are stunning. Couldn’t afford to back the KS at the time but very much looking forward to the retail release. Nice to see some Deep Wars coverage too 🙂
It’s nice to know that the remains of my airsoft gear will go to good use! I just hope they do a MOLLE version of the new PACK C4.
You don’t have to get the expensive stuff from Eagle, TT, Maxpedition etc, either. If anyone is looking for a place to get cheap MOLLE pouches etc, feel free to message me. I don’t want to steal any of Battlefoam’s thunder because I really like their products 😉
Yes, I really regret missing the monkey stuff… gotta see when they hit the stores.
With the MOLLE stuff you generally get what you pay for. Misaligned straps/channels are one persistent problem in the cheap stuff and their durability often leaves a lot to be desired.
Ofcourse, it’s all about the intended use. Something strapped to a vest you’re crawling on and containing a 1kg magazine needs to be sturdier than something strapped to a bag containing your spare gloves… but they are really irritating to weave in if the straps are out of spec.
True, although I tend to find that’s more a problem on the vests where the channels are misaligned as you say, or the stitching is too close together.. or worse, where the stitching comes away and two channels merge in to one. With (cheap) pouches you are looking at bad colour matching, cordua that is overly stiff or too soft, the occasional loose thread and typically poor tolerances on the sizing of pouches or the retaining elastic (nothing worse than a mag pouch that you can’t actually squeeze a mag in to!). For airsoft I can justify my old Paraclete… Read more »
DAMN THEM LASER-POINTES !!!
why is Romeo such an Apple fanboy?
I don’t think it would be a good idea to have your ipad on the outside of your bag, that’ll soon vanish off it.
I can’t believe how much good stuff is coming out just now. I want that Journey wrath of demons game and the battle foam bag and even though I won’t be buying deepwars I want that deepwars game mat, although I have no idea what I could use it for.
I think I had better warn my wife I’m having a gaming frenzy coming on so so she can hide my credit cards.
