Dwarven Forge Bringing Castles To Kickstarter On March 6th
March 2, 2016 by brennon
Dwarven Forge are going to be back on Kickstarter this month, from March 6th 2016, to fund their new massive project - Castles. They will be producing modular terrain allowing you to build the castle of your dreams for wargaming and role-playing...
This already looks impressive with huge castle walls, mighty towers, gatehouses and more all on the cards I'm sure. Maybe we should scrap the project we're making for Salute and just buy this terrain? Sorry John!
Will you be keeping an eye on this one? Dwarven Forge have done some impressive terrain kits in the past allowing you to build cities and dungeons so the next logical step would of course be big ol' castles.
Fancy a Castle?

I cringe at the thought of what this will cost.
looks good.
I’m more interested in Renedra’s plastic castle than this one. While this will be undoubtedly beautiful it will also be undoubtedly expensive. Renedra tend to be more reasonably priced.
I must have missed this @onlyonepinman – do you have a link to any information about the Renedra castle? I like a lot of their stuff and would be very interested in this.
Love my Dwarven Forge City pieces, crazy awesome modular. Not sure I can do Castles, but it will be fun to track its course.
Intetesting, but the cost of the town KS blew me out of the DF hobby. I also would have whole buildings instead of fooling with the 2×2 pieces. The new MDF buildings are a small fraction of the cost.
They do make a good product, though….
My guess is that is $1000 for that castle gate entrance alone. I’ll watch this kickstarter, but I doubt I’ll purchase it.
I bought 5 sets of the dungeon and 2 of the cavern sets, but I’m KS’ed out. I couldn’t really justify the town stuff, as I had just bought the Dark Ages outpost sets, and now I’ve decided to boycott kickstarters all together, and just buy the stuff retail when it’s convenient. I think the castle stuff may be too rich for my blood, but it does look very nice.
I’m with you on that one I’ve also vowed to never back a kickstarter again. They have become a real pain in the arse. Will also wait for retail .
