GF9’s Frost Giant Reaver Brings Winter To D&D
September 1, 2016 by dracs
The next of Gale Force 9's elemental giants has appeared, ready to shake the earth of their Dungeon & Dragons Collector's Series.
Once again we find ourselves faced with an absolutely colossal figure, looming over all the other miniatures on the table.
Gigantic reavers from the freezing lands beyond civilization, Frost Giants are fierce, hardy warriors that survive on the spoils of their raids and pillaging. They respect only brute strength and skill in battle, demonstrating both with their scars and the grisly trophies they take from their enemies.
Frost Giant's Frozen Features
Gale Force 9 have done an excellent job painting up Albert Yu's sculpt, letting us see some of the superb details on this model.
The touches on his beard and clothes are very well done, with the design of his axe being especially nice.
Of particular note is this guy's base.
I like the idea that wherever these giants tread ice follows. They're like a one giant Ragnarok and it would certainly make for some interesting game play.
Do you think you would build this figure for you D&D adventures?

Very nice. He does look like he could be fighting Marvel’s version of the Thor.
wow a giant white walker?
Winter is coming. .. In one of our hang over AD&D games I had them all play storm giants.
This look great might need to get it
Front giant .. not storm – the giant vikings
gorgeous model
Sorry but meh…….the arm holding the axe is weird looking, and his legs look out of proportion, the knees look to low for the length of the leg.
I gotta, say, I am really liking this line of minis from GF9.
