Dungeon Saga: Let’s Play Journey From The West
August 22, 2015 by dignity
It's now time to get our delve on with Dungeon Saga this weekend. Warren and Justin are taking on the roles of the Human Barbarian and Dwarf Fighter while Rich from Mantic controls the undead legions as the evil Overlord.
Will our two heroes storm the dungeon and win honour and renown or will they fall at the first hurdle and be forced to retreat to the local tavern?

I love how Justin keeps trying to discuss the rules and mechanics but Warren is all about the RP! Great demo guys!
yes, great mixture… i love to watch this duo 😉
Yeah, great stuff. A dungeon crawler needs that narrative.
Let the adventure begin!
Tasty. Want to play it my self right now. Great show guys.
Loving the story telling. Must introduce my kids to Fighting Fantasy which is where it all began for me.
The gateway drug!!
Seems like a nice update to Warhammer Quest – Mantic are doing a good business for themselves remaking the specialist games Games workshop are abandoning.
There were dungeon crawlers around before Warhammer Quest. 😉
Warhammer quest was itself an update to heroquest, which is what dungeon saga is actually (quite openly) paying homage to. And heroquest was not a GW game. It was made under license by MB.
It’s great, I think everyone needs a Warren to get the game going. Well enthusiastic and we’ll played.
Great show!
That was great, loving the story telling Warren
Looking forward to this weekend
Dungeon Saga has surpassed Hero Quest. Good job on the adventure guys. Very good game.
Have you played it? Or are you basing it solely on the video?
Very enjoyable! I see plenty of potential for: ‘ADVANCED DUNGEON SAGA!’ Yesssss!
Someone’s going to sleep well tonight.
Bless him. Lol
Very enthusiastic story telling Warren. Poor Justin looks like a rabbit in the headlights.
Warren does have children and speaking from personal experience, they do have a wonderful way of reminding you how to revive your forgotten imagination!
Many at my local club have taken to the opposed dice rolls mechanic from Spartacus and in a similar way, adapted it to suit other skirmish battle melee resolution.
Thanks for that. Really enjoyable demo. Enjoy your weekend!
This is more than likely to replace most all of my Dungeon crawl board games.
Wow, great video and nice theme setting.
Really looking forward to the game.
Thats one of the best how to play videos I`ve ever seen. Keep it up!
Great intro – just don’t let Warren near the energy drinks – hyper enough.
Twenty-first! Yes! I win! 😉
Keep up the good work chaps 🙂

This game has just enough nostalgia to be awesome and just enough modern mechanics to separate it from its predecessors
Great Demo… Seem to remember that Warren charged blindly forward last year leaving everybody behind…. Looking forward to the rest of the weekend.
Looks like a fun game
Please design some co-op rules, as someone who always ends up being a DM would love to be able to play this with my kids as one of the adventure party. Love the show so keep it up
There was an AI deck mentioned during the kickstarter, so everyone could play as adventurers. I don’t know if they’ve managed to get it working yet.
they are in the The Adventurer’s Companion book
That’s great!
This looks like great fun and a good dungeon crawler
Doh just read about the adventurers companion which has solo rules, very excited now as this appears to be the game I have been waiting for, so I can to get my two young sons into the hobby, already bought them the dungeon an dragons TV series on dvd. I may even start painting again.
