Dungeon Saga: Let’s Play Journey From The East!
August 22, 2015 by dignity
We've only met two of our heroes so far and this second adventure in Dungeon Saga by Mantic Games calls on the arcane forces of the Mage (Warren) and the ranged prowess of the Elven Ranger (Justin).
A crypt lies before them and the Overlords minions are looking to overwhelm our heroes. Will they survive and join their allies or will it be too much to handle?
If you comment on this video you'll be in with a chance to win yourself a copy of Dungeon Saga which is available to pre-order AND The Adventurer's Companion.

I’m in love with this already guys!
Loving the rp!!
Although I’m not 100% sold on the little clips which hold the tiles together (more bits to lose) and think that ‘jigsaw’ tiles would have worked as well, I’m still very excited by this (although not as excited as Warren, but who could be?). I can’t wait for my KS to arrive.
I thought the same about the clips and that they should’ve had the jigsaw pattern but then I realized that the clips give you more options in how the tiles go together once you start making your own adventures.
I too can’t wait for my KS to arrive:)
Agree, the clips seem fiddly. I actually like the jigsaw tiles better since it creates a nice fit without causing unnecessary wear on the tiles. I doubt I’ll use the clips. I’m wondering if a rubber mat on the table will be a better option to keep the tiles from sliding apart.
I usually use a heavy cloth on the table, things tend not to move that way – something grippy would be even better. Warhammer Quest had a nice design where the doors had slots underneath.
Got a bit more beaten up that time.
I’d have loved to see Lloyd and Warren playing through these scenarios. I’d have loved to see them regress (even more, in Warren’s case) back into childhood.
Really good series so far – even my sons are enjoying this one….
I would have liked to see the objective to be not only opening the door, but also getting all of your characters through the door, particularly as Justin is now surrounded. Other than that this looks like a winner. Looking forward to seeing some more videos on this.
Haha Justin would suit being a female elf 😛
Hm, magic seems interesting in Dungeon Saga
well that one was a lot closer
Loving the role playing enthusiasm…
“If I cast break wind and fireball…”
“Ward Warren. It’s break ward”.
“Oh”.
The disappointment was palpable.
Yeah 🙂
I’m excited and sad at the same time, excited coz this may be the hero quest replacement my sons and I have waited for, and sad coz hero quest may not be getting anymore love:( it’s like I’ve upgraded to a younger hotter model……
I’d like to point out that no Bouncer is going to let Justin into anything wearing that shirt.
Crackin game
Was there a mistake at the 29th minute? Raise Dead was cast as the first command, but it was stated at 23:15 that Raise Dead is in addition to the commands.
I spotted that too. Think rich had an extra command that turn, so could have moved up one of the skellies in the other room.
I noticed it too, he played 3x commands and raised at the 23 minute mark. Also, the ‘Overlord’ was going easy as a training game. The skeleton on the flank moving would have been a much more ‘evil’ option as it would prevent the mage from moving back to the door. It is a training game and you really don’t want to kill the players in a training game.
C’mon. Lets see a real dungeon with loot and character progression etc.
So animated, love it.
Looks like magic seems cool in this game
Back to Santa was a great line
Yeah, I might have to steal that the next time I play D&D.
This is just brilliant, really takes me back to my youth. Back then I was completely obsessed with the Fighting Fantasy series, I am so getting this for my son, he’s going to love it.
This is totally taking back to my Childhood days and D&D that filled a fair few Summer Hols with friends.
The gme looks really cool, but i’ve got to say i dont like the look of the barbarian
Again a really fun video, but I’m looking forward to scenarios where our heroes will be exposed to greater challenges.
Just need a little bit more of work on the miniatures in my opinion to be perfect
Warren’s going to need to improve on his casting and Justin needs to practice his dice rolling, not so much hack and slash from these characters but if all them where the same as the Barbarian and dwarf it would be a boring, Looking forward to the rest
