Well that answered one of my earlier questions.
I love the dungeon tile bases on the minis.
I am a late pledger, do you know what will be delivered soon? it is everything or just the base game?
I believe they are aiming to do everything all in one go rather than piecemeal across several packages. We’ve seen the sculpts from the expansion packs already so it’s within the realm of possibility that everything will be ready at the same time. Don’t hold me to that though, I could be wrong.
We should at least get the base game and the adventurers companion all in one package (if that’s what you pledged for).

Was expecting to be able to search for traps and treasure as I moved throughout the dungeon, seems part and parcel of a dungeon crawler to me
I think you might be able to as resin trap counters were an add on in the Kickstarter.
Mantic’s store page lists counters for 10 different trap types, plus blank ones, on the Adventurer’s Companion.
This weekend has been brilliant, and I think that I will find myself watching a number of these videos yet again.
My kids are liking the look of the game, already have the barbarian and the Elf sorted out then. 🙂

Really liking what is coming out for expansions & the adventurer’s companion. I know Mantic brought out a war list for the rat men in Kings of War, so does this mean Mantic will bring out a rat man expansion Dungeon Saga?

I’ve received some elf models from matic when they where just starting and was not really impressed by them. Seeing these sculpts: They’ve come a long way. There’s some really cool stuff there.

This will be the game to redefine the dungeon crawler. It will be remembered by modern gamers in the same way we old farts remember Hero Quest. Can’t wait for those expansions… and we haven’t even got the core game yet.

Thank you for now I need this game, however having just purchased the Frostgrave rule book the other day and setting out my course and pinning my colours to not deviating it is going to be beyond my means to go with this and those other things.
I am all spent up. So no at this point its a win or back to the dungeons for a while before I can go questing. However Victoria has just pointed out we need only tweak the steam punk questing rules we have and we could go a questing off ourselves complete with almost identical scenery to the ones shown created by Lloyd and Warrens bigger sister. (They are fantastic by the way and how lucky were you guise to have a sister like that growing up.
Rocking but the full range of Scibor models beckons like the sirens drawing me to my financial ruin. Thanks and greatest and bet luck to the rest of the BoW crowd.

Dungeon Saga looks like a great deal of fun for all. Brilliant how Warren has shown us how he introduces his young family into this game. Great to see that the game expands to keep you interested.
Can’t wait for another and another volume or tome to play with.
Anyone know if in the base game, the upgrades the adventurers get between missions are fix or if there are choices?

I can’t wait for the Adventurers Companion, I’m totes gonna play as a Twilight Kin character, assassin? battle mage? necromancer?…. Who knows…..
On the idea of marking the inside of the chest lids, as the chests are hollow, how about putting a scroll inside instead? Just wrap a strip of paper around a paper clip or the like and write what the treasure is on it. That way you’re not tied in to what’s inside as you just make a new scroll as needed whereas writing on the lid limits you to that when using that idea. 😉

Over the last 24 hours I went from “pffffft why play this when I got Descent and Imperial Assault?!” to placing an order and organizing a game (and beer) night with the old Talisman and Warhammer Quest mates!

Can’t wait until this is released. I loved the old dungeon crawlers like Advanced Heroquest and Warhammer Quest. I tried Descent but it didn’t really add up somehow. I really like the way in which you can design your own dungeons and bring in a whole bestiary of different nasties to crush those pesky adventurers! 🙂
I certainly hope we will be able to explore and find loot. Part of the joy of searching dungeons is being rewarded with upgrades or potions that will help you along the way to the next part of the dungeon.

Exactly what I wanted to hear. Changes it from a dungeon crawl game to a game system.
Also, the sculpts for dungeon saga are in my opinion some of the best mantic have done so far. Better than a lot of the kings of war stuff.
Going to make a note on this video as great reference guide on how to paint the minis.

Looking very good indeed. I do hope there is scope for creating your own monsters though. I’m not sure what range of creatures inhabit mantica yet, but I’m not at home in a dungeon without a gelatinous cube or two making a nuisance of themselves. Been most impressed by this game and the coverage, splendidly done.
Those bonus Dungeon Saga minis will be perfect for Kings of War and as minions for other games too.

The adventurers companion seems likely to be the thing that will make Dungeon Saga stand out from other dungeon delvers, shifting it two steps towards an RPG. I look forward to its release and Warren getting childishly excited all over again.

Between this, the last shipment of Dreadball Xtreme and KoW winging its way to my house (hopefully) soon…I’m very excited to get some games in! Thanks for the fun videos through the weekend.
I love all the good stuff which we can look forward too and although I was a little put off by the non jigsaw tiles the clips jet see a little rubbish. However as I’ve watched and pondered I now think the greater flexibility you have to create alternate scenarios. So I’m now happy to trade the infinite replay ability against the tile being a little wobbly. Probably sort this with non slip cloth of some type.

Some nice looking models . I hope that the different minions play very differently not just shooty, hitty, tanky etc. I’m optimistic though and hope it really catches the markets imagination.

I like the way this is going, much more customisable than Descent. I think this would be a great game at the school club that I run.

I’m looking forward to getting my hands on some of those minis…especially the Orcs. It’s been a great set of videos for Dungeon Saga, and it’s definitely going we wanting to play a campaign. This is definitely something I can introduce to my nephew, he loved playing Bolt Action, but this I’m sure will get him hooked on fantasy gaming.

I think the best part of this is that you can play full co-op without the overlord, kind of like the old days with Warhammer quest.

This has to have been the best set of videos that you guys have ever done (what do you mean “Infinity Week”?). I couldn’t believe how tense and exciting those quests were!
I jumped on the Kickstarter in the first 30 seconds, ended up pledging for way too much stuff and got super excited by the campaign.
Later, I followed the alpha and beta rules and my interest waned a bit – something about them didn’t excite me….
Fast forward to the finished product and… wow… the rules look like so much fun. The miniatures look better than I’d ever hoped for, in fact, everything looks top notch.
Can’t wait!
Noe really can’t wait for all the future stuff, and the adventurer’s companion so we can add in all the other Mantic toys! Already thinking of two adventures i want to create myself, working on the backstory now, then i’ll fit in the rules and the tiles needed. Been getting steadily excited for a few months (since the kickstarter manager closed), and everything looks great! Love the book boxes!
This has been a great weekend of videos, but I was a little disappointed with this video as we did not learn anything past what was part of the kickstarter. That said I am looking forward playing this game.

okay guys you have sold me on this game, looks excellent and so much fun, like the videos take me back to HeroQuest and remembered how much fun that was. Also like the idea with the supplement that you can create your own character and model them yourself. I wonder with the extras you can buy if they will bring out those nice dungeon bases to have your figures on.
It would be cool to see more expansions
I may have said this elsewhere but those miniatures are a huge step up from Mantic and I’d really like to see that translated into their multipart Kings of War models.
However for Dungeon Saga where I’m effectively looking for a diverse range of models but with only a few variants of each type, these look great. I especially like the Troll for the Warlord of Galahir.
I’m also massively looking forward to the adventurers companion and I already have an idea of running an Ancient Greek themed Dungeon.

I already commented on this video, but I just wanted to add an idea I’ve had, maybe others or mantic already thought of this, but perhaps the gaming tiles themselves could be made into plastic versions or some hobbyists amongst us could make their own “3d” titles that are based on the card 2d versions on the box. That way the modeled titles would look great with the 3d terrain pieces included in the box and would still be adjustable, just like the 2d card versions.
Really good stuff from mantic. I have 2 kings of war armies which I would love to use in this game, if only I could win a free copy… 🙂

And I hope for more heros. This will be interessting for RPG, too. You could even do like 3 levels for every character, so that the minis look more chunky or better equiped when getting better. So you get even more of an RPG element inside the game.
